In the record setting Powerball drawing back in January, there were three winning tickets sold. Only two of the lucky ticket holders have come forward.

Also, there was a winning Mega ticket for $165 mil sold in NY on 1/8/16

Those two winners have not come forward yet.

Where are they? Why haven't they claimed their prize? It's over two months already!

Maybe they "went to the mattresses" for awhile.

Consider the story about the Tennessee winners.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

I Agree! with your LOST guess. The 1/13/16 California PB ticket would be the largest unclaimed amount and would hold that title for a long time. The money would be returned to each State, DC, and island.

I think that the California Lottery will wait before airing tv ads looking for the winner. It is too soon.

Maybe they took some of the advice on LP and got all their ducks in a row, but now realize by waiting so long, they will get even more attention. Whomever said they would turn their ticket in second was correct about avoiding any extra attention.

Maybe they live in states that allow winners to remain anonymous?

Maryland is among six states in which winners' identities may be kept private. Its rules allows wary winners to hide their faces behind oversized checks and to use creative monikers instead of names in promotional photos posted on the lottery agency's website.

A Frederick couple, "Kathryn and Ricardo," opted to keep their last names hidden when they won $1 million in the Jan. 13 Powerball drawing featuring a record $1.58 billion jackpot. A Baltimore man who won $1 million in a recent instant ticket game publicly called himself only "Nittany Lions Fan," apparently reflecting his devotion to Penn State athletics.

We all get a lot out of lotteries!

                  myturn,

The PB winners were from Florida, Tennessee and California.

None of those are anonymous states.
