Hi Everyone:
Some time ago I posted a program I wrote called box2Win. This program produced 36 boxed(straight) P3 plays based on a past draws file. I recently revised the program, in an effort to produce more winners, and I'm offering the revision to you. The program can be downloaded from :
http://www.filedropper.com/boxtowinrev1
The program makes its selections based on a grouping of four digits. All possible pairs are considered for the first two numbers of the selections, and the third number is taken from the complement set of six digits.
Download the program into a working folder, and prepare, in the same folder, a past draws text file of the past 20 draws. One draw per line, no other characters, the most recent draw on top, and the oldest on the bottom. Call this file : drawsP3.txt. Click on the icon box2Win_Rev1, and you'll see a DOS window appearing showing the four digits that were selected, and below the actual box(straight)selections. By entering any key, the DOS window will disappear, and you should notice that a file has been added to your folder called : boxedPlays.txt. Note that this file will not be current until the DOS window id msde to disappear, by entering any key.
Plays are made over a 10 day period. After 10 days, delete the oldest 10 plays from the draw file and add the latest 10 days worth of draws to the top of the draw file.
Let's take a look at and an example. Using the last 20 draws of the Texas evening P3 starting from May 2nd, 2015.
The output of box2Win_Rev1 is:
********** 4 digit sets and max pair hit counts ***********
5083
********Boxed plays are**************
501 502 504 506 507 509
581 582 584 586 587 589
531 532 534 536 537 539
081 082 084 086 087 089
031 032 034 036 037 039
831 832 834 836 837 839
The results over the 10 day period were 176, 793, 683, 660, 576, 773, 597, 820, 961, 462, producing 2 boxed winners
After updating the draw file with the latest 10 results and dropping the oldest 10 results, box2Win_Rev1 gave:
********** 4 digit sets and max pair hit counts ***********
6098
********Boxed plays are**************
601 602 603 604 605 607
691 692 693 694 695 697
681 682 683 684 685 687
091 092 093 094 095 097
081 082 083 084 085 087
981 982 983 984 985 987
The results over the 10 day play period were 046, 851, 691*, 985*, 699, 964, 976, 100, 440, 802, producing 4 boxed a two straight winners.
Note: Ignore the phrase in the output reading : .."and max pair hit counts". This was meant to be deleted and has no purpose here.
Go over the examples and make sure you can reproduce the results shown here.
Enjoy! Comments welcome.
