DateLine: April 6th,1862 - Civil War Battle of Shiloh
2nd largest battle of Civil War Tragedy began in Tennessee as Confederate troops launched a surprise attack against Union forces fought on April 6th & 7th who beat back the Rebels the next day of initial attack. When it was overt t had cost both sides a combined total of 23,746 American men dead or dying, wounded, or missing - blue bodies lying along side the grey ...it took days to count the dead :-(
