It's an interesting question, with an interesting answer.

You've seen numbers like that before, where it's almost a triple, like: 100, 553 or 909, maybe even 123 if you think about it.

So, how away is it from being a triple?

We'll let you think about it for a bit.

The answer is also seen in the Pick 3/4 Meter Made Math Moves

Or, at least thinking in meter moves may help find the answer.

Hellojade there are many forms of triples = we have classics = 000,111 ... 999
We have the tripos only of odd digits = 137,971,159, ...
We have the tripe only pairs = 428,468,204 ....
Tripos are tall = tripos only from low tripos are in (in)
Tripos just outside, ... ie the 4 monro patterns
Jade tai a task to list in excel sos several types of triples
Please can you do it in excel 2016

Hello, you can also create triples, by frequencies in each position
Most leave 50% average 35% and cold 15% of the digits 0 to 9 of each position,
Separately,
An example in the groups of those that leave the most 50% are 5 average digits are 3 and cold are 2 digits
5,3,2, 50% 35% 15% respectively.
Then tripos by positional frequency would be
1st 2nd of all groups 50% would
5x5x5 = 125 are triples of the same group 50% 50% 50%

Missouri has not dropped 999 since, December 2008.

I was wondering.

Should I even keep playing them ?

Should I wait for the vtrac to start hitting?

999= sum 27 , a stand alone sum.

I don't know, just wondering.

Any individual triple, ie. 999, should appear on average once every 1000 draws.

For a daily game drawn every day, that's about once every 2.7379 yrs.

At this point, there have been 2990 draws since the last occurrence.

There's a 94.9713% it will occur this draw and will increase each draw it does not.

It will reach 95% at about draws 2996 since last draw, or on 2017-03-04.

It becomes 96% at about draws 3218 since last draw, or on 2017-10-12.

Before we get to the triples in 3D.

We need to start in 1D and step it up one dimension at a time.

Previously we said this would relate to the Pick 3/4 Meter Made Math Moves

The relation is in how the numbers change from one to another.

Here's the dial we used to show number position.

The dial can move either clockwise or counter clockwise.

When the dial gets to 0 or 9, it either clocks over from 0 to 9 or 9 to 0 without going all the way around the dial the other way it is traveling.

Keep this in mind, because we are going to use this concept as we essentially make a 3 Dimensional dial.

This begins with filleting the dial out to make a 1 Dimensional line.

We can place a number on the line with a mark.

Some random positions can move on the line shown below.

We can place two different selections on the line, a red and blue mark.

Shown as is, the first red mark appears it can only move +6 places to the right to arrive at the second blue selection.

We can imagine the line extends in both directions; with the numbers repeating or cycling back to either 0 or 9.

It would look something like this.

Using this wrap around, we can see the shortest path from the first selection 2 to the second selection 8 isn't +6 to the right, but -4 places to the left.

We can expand this to 2 Dimensions.

Here's an example with two selections in a simple setup.

In this case, it's a pair of numbers (A, B) that make the selection.

Shown above are (2, 8) and (9, 2).

We can see the only direction from the first selection, red, to the second, blue, is the dashed line right and down.

However, if we extend each axis to include the cyclical moves, it would look like the following.

Here we can see the shortest path to the next selection is actually the solid line, left and up.
