"Some state lottery laws do not include entities under the definition of a person." -Artist77
The above is what confuses the living hell out the masses to no end. Legal entities........The min we start talking about them people lose force.
It works THE OTHER WAY in the state's favor even when it's allowed.
TN lottery deceptive behavior is a great example of this. They put on their website no one allowed to claim anonymously. "It's a public record"
Will always give out names, etc.
Yet legal entities have always been allowed to claim as a person sense lottery started selling tickets here in 2004. Being a more recent lottery they had all the legal entities claiming thing already baked into the legal cake.
So far the vast majority of the jackpot winners in TN lottery lifetime have all been publicly named because nearly every single one of them believed they had to be public. Simply because lottery told them so.
I screencap when finally one person was not outsmarted by some simple PR trickery from my home lottery.
I have a proven jackpot winner here using a legal entity in TN to claim a major jackpot without anyone getting their name. Yet, I was told over and over in the past by people on here TN IS NOT an anonymous state. All because they don't understand legal entities are "people" to the TN lottery. [Yes the names of all "people" are given out by my lottery. It's a matter of public record. Now can you give me the real winner's name behind "The Avondale Revocable trust"? You can't because the name given is the trust name. To the lottery, the trust IS THE PERSON who won. It's and only its name is a matter of public record.]
That anonymous winner was soon forgotten because my state lottery pulled it off again a year later with that recent 1.5B jackpot that was split 3 ways.
Their lawyer [of TN couple that won.] is now infamous for being a big dumbie for putting his winning clients on a live national morning show with the winning lottery ticket in hand [NOT EVEN YET CLAIMED the ticket. Just went right to freaking national media.... Unreal....]
When asked why go to the media? Why go rush to tell the whole world? They said because the lawyer said they could not hide. They had to go public was what they were all thinking. So at lawyer suggestion, they were getting the PR out of the way now. [I wanted to slap that dumb son of a beep lawyer for borderline criminal negligence. ]
The truth is the lawyer, in this case, TRUSTED what the TN lottery told him and then sold his clients right down the river into the hands of the enemy. All because no one freaking understands legal entities.
