  It's not a matter of if, but when the next U.S. state will have a lottery. 

  I personally think that Alaska will be next. The reason why they still don't have a lottery has nothing to do with morals or the gambling lobby, but because the majority of the state is extremely remote. Though this may have been an issue even 10 years ago, the wifi communications has improved to be competent in major towns in the state.

  If Alaska had a lottery, retailers would be limited to Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, and Ketchikan. These four cities have year long populations and are connected through roads or the marine highway.

  You could be right about Alaska...but I rather guess which will be last...yea...Utah !

  If Wyoming which has far less people than Alaska could adopt a lottery, then Alaska has no real excuse left. It'll be next.
  The last state will certainly be Hawaii, there's no way the Hawaii legislature will want to establish a lottery.
