Greetings LP!
I've been playing this game every weekend after pay day since April of this year. I usually spend about $100 a week and if I win during my trip, reinvest 50% of it on more tickets. I have won $500 three times, $250 once, $200 a few times, $100 and the lower amounts a lot. If you don't believe me, see my most recent $500 pull from August posted below. This is my favorite instant scratch off game to play for those players who go big and spend that $20 and up. I also believe it has the best odds according to nylottery.ny.gov. Below I will share with you my tips on how to win money on this game from MY OWN personal experiences on things I noticed during the last 6 months from playing just this game ONLY. If anyone else plays this game and has caught something, please feel free to share.
What I've Noticed/Experienced
1) 3 out of 4 times there will be winners 3 cards in a row that add up to prize totals of $75. For example, if you win $20 on ticket #29, there is a great chance that #28 and #27 will both be $25 winners!
2) Within the first 10 tickets #'s 40 - #50, is where you want to get in. There is usually 1 $50 winner within those tickets and it can have a lot of the times higher amounts. This also applies to ticket #'s 1-10. However, multiple times I have hit $200 on ticket #47 and #3. My first $500 on this game was at #8. So if you can stick to these numbers, go for it. I like to use the vending machines and keep control of the cards.
3) Ticket #15 and #35 is always a $100 winner. If it is not, then expect a $20. There probably was a big payout on the previous or next roll that means.
4) Odd numbered tickets payout more.
5) If you buy 10 tickets in a row and they are all losers, don't expect a $500 winner on that 11th card, it will most likely be within the $20-40 range. You're lucky if you get $50 out of it.
6) Never let the cashier give you an Instant ticket! Who is to say they aren't giving it to you from a roll that just had a $500 winner? The chances of there being another $500 winner or jackpot in that same roll is astronomical. Plus, he/she probably wants to clear that roll off and start a new one. It's dead. Pick your own or use the machines.
