Not trying to be mean here but I think you would benefit from a little basic computer training.
Everyone starts somewhere and there are a number of videos on youtube that teach you how
to work with files and folders. I like to think of drives as states, folders as cities and files as
houses. Some files may reside directly on a drive without being in a folder which I would label
something like a farm address. Each file has a address and if you know the address which in
computer lingo is a path to the file or folder.
Example.
The file C:\media\videos\my vacation.avi is akin to a State called Media, with a City called videos
and my vacation.avi being a house number. You-tube is your friend when you need help understanding
how to do something. Many show step by step instructions to do just about anything. I remember
way back before having a visual windows interface where my only option was to type in commands.
Once I understood the way files are stored it made other things much simpler to learn. Also search for
types of files be they PDF, EXE, MSI, TXT, DAT, INI etc.. The file extentions tells us what the files function
is.
Here is a link to a basic video and is just a starting place. Take a few minutes whenever you can and
watch a couple you-tube videos. We all have gaps in out knowledge, it can also be a lot of fun.
