  For long as I can remember, Pennsylvania Cash 5 jackpot rollovers added at least $100K or more. However, this past rollover went from $225K to $300K.

  11/21/17
  Winning Numbers: 07  10  11  34  35

  0 players matched 5, jackpot rolls to $225,000.00
  32 players matched 4, each receiving $296.00
  1,531 players matched 3, each receiving $10.00
  19,187 players matched 2, each receiving $1.00

  0 players matched 5, jackpot rolls to $300,000.00
  65 players matched 4, each receiving $183.00
  2,659 players matched 3, each receiving $7.50
  27,273 players matched 2, each receiving $1.00

  Does anyone know if sub-$100K rollovers for PA Cash 5 has ever happened before? Maybe I missed it.

  If this is truly the first time, that could be a bad omen for PA Cash 5. Could indicate sales often no longer support the traditional $100K+ rollover increase. PA Lottery may be more tempted to "improve" it by making the odds more difficult and/or raising the price. Though a less extreme possibility is pushing some optional add-on, which most players would likely be ok with.

  PA Match 6 drawings every day now combined with ever increasing popularity of instant scratch offs could be taking a toll on PA Cash 5.

  Another possibility, though it seems out there, is Pennsylvania Skills slot-like machines seemingly popping up everywhere, including at many places that also sell lottery. A local lottery retailer near me now has 3 PA Skills machines, and seems to do well with them; doesn't push lottery products as much as before.

  Perhaps there is less traffic due to the Thanksgiving holiday?

  Not a one-off. PA Lottery Cash 5 only increased $75K again ($125K rolled to $200K Nov-24-17). Presumably, sales are way down.

  Good observation! I  figured they were changing up how much they pocketed vs sharing with players. 

  Since it's one of the few bigger pay for just a dollar,I can't see why folks wouldn't play it. Ever since mega went to 2$, and match 6 is daily.  I  am less inclined to play them. But the c5 keeps my interest.

  I think the game isn't in trouble.

  I hope that one $2 ticket is the only one that matches all 5 numbers plus the PB to win the largest PB jackpot in United States history of over $2 Billion Dollars!
