Let's say one of win.

Can we wear sunglasses, a face mask and a hat during the press conference?

As in the face mask, we would slightly put it down so we can speak.

When you say anonymous, try not to say your name too much.

I live in New York City. I'm pretty sure the news station is going to be there everyday.

There are discussions on this subject in the News Forum. And wearing a disguise won't prevent them from publishing the winner's name in non-anonymous states.

A woman in Illinois won a MM jackpot in 2008. Illinois is not an anonymous state but will consider different situations (Music recently mentioned this in another thread.)

The woman is a pharmacist and was concerned that publicity would trigger malpractice suits because of her job.

          Here's the story:

          https://www.lotterypost.com/news/172231

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

          Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

From the link above, since a lot of people will ignore it or miss it,

Sporting large sunglasses, the winner, a pharmacist, came forward, but she refused to provide her name or where she lived. An occasional player, she bought the winning ticket at a gas station at 851 S. Sutton Rd. in Streamwood.

If she didn't provide her name by signing the back of the ticket and fill out a claims form and get a W-2G, how exactly did she collect her winnings?

              LOL

Some people think their opinions count so much more than the facts....like I saidm some would just ignore the article. Sad lot really.

"The team helped the family create the JYS Family Limited Partnership and put together entities to keep the winner's identity from the public..."

You said she refused to give her name as if the lottery never asked if she bought the ticket.

Only in the alternative reality you live in.....read the article.

                    When did I say that?

Not one of your posts in this thread has been accurate.

Bye, you're not worth the keystrokes.

ummm if you can't see their face. Names don't matter.

I can tell you my name is Barack Obama and you probably believe me.

That's why i would claim a jackpot as Dr Zaius, complete with costume!

If I win in California, I'd change my name, claim, then change my name back.

Well ...before one of the wanna be legal experts weighs in, generally name changes are public court filings. Even though you may do it locally, anyone could look it up on a public database of court filings.
