If you are reading all of the information being posted in LP every day you have no doubt seen a variety of tracking charts.
A majority of the these charts reflect statistical data collected and organized according to some mathematical formula.
One shortcoming, in my opinion, these charts have is that the formula is rarely shown and explained. This often leads to numerous follow-up posts by folks who believe the charts could help them pick a winner but they need more information, which, by the way is seldom provided.
I employ the power of substitution to construct combinations for play.
There are no mathematical formulas.
I use a variety of tracking charts to help me choose the numbers having the best chance of winning, according to my methods.
One of the more important charts that I use contains a list of what I call 'alpha signatures' that guide number selection.
In the substitution world, every winning combination sits on an alphabetical structure which are generated in accordance with specific rules of procedure.
An example is the Texas Daily 4 game where each of the 10,000 possible combinations has an alphabetical signature consisting of four of five letters - A, B, C, D and R(zero).
For instance, the alpha signature for winning combination 6502 is BBRA; 9885 is CCCB, 2233 is AAAA, 3670 is ABCR, and so on.
Here are the substitutes:
Digits 1, 2 and 3 are As
Digits 4,5 and 6 are Bs.
Digits 7,8 and 9 are Cs.
Digit 0 is always R.
As a result, every winning combination will be a Double AA, a Double BB, a Double CC, a Double RR or a signature with no repeat letters = ABCR.
In the Daily 4 game, the difference between $200 and $5,000 is choosing the correct digits and having them in the correct order.
There is no magical solution.
It's educated guesswork based on analysis of information in appropriate tracking charts.

The '*' shows the position of the digit in the winning combination for the Alpha Double.
For example, the digits in the first Double AA listed were in positions 1 and 4.
The actual digits, 1, 2 or 3, are recorded in a separate tracking chart.
The digits for an Alpha Single are logged in exact order.
If, by using information in a separate substitution tracking chart, the 'NEXT' Alpha Double could
be a Double AA, analysis would be concentrated on the 'dots' in that column of data.
There are 31 entries on my current AA/AAA chart.
My best guess is that the 'A' digits in the winning combination, if any, will be in positions 2 and 4.
Position 1 will be a 'B' digit, Position 3 will be a 'C' digit.
The specific digits are chosen using a separate tracking chart, which will not be shown.
The point of this post is to show one advantage of a non-mathematical tracking chart derived using the power of substitution.
