Dear Boss:

My doctors have given me 40 years maximum to live. That doesn't leave much time for me to enjoy this 100 million. No mixed emotions but I am looking forward to the mixed tropical drinks on beaches across the globe.

Thank you for the salary that funded my lotto strategy. I couldn't have done this without you.

That would depend on 2 issues:

1.Do i get along and enjoy working with my superiors.

2. Do I enjoy my job.

If I did ? I would give a 2-3 week notice. Offer to help them find a suitable replacement.

If I did not ? Ensure all my Vac/PL/SL was used up. The lottery commission had verified the ticket/claim? Drive back to work after verification and type up the following:

Mr/Ms _____,

Please consider this a 2 week notice of resignation. Sorry I forgot to send this out 13 days ago.

What resignation letter? I will copy Julie Leach from Michigan and call it quits that day or night. Scott Bowen the Michigan Lottery host was happy to see her claim $140,000,000.00 after all deductions and taxes are paid.

I agree,,, what resignation letter ? No use working a two weeks notice out. The amount of resentment from fellow co-workers would be terrible 'if' they knew the reason for me quitting. So mums the word would have to be the route to take.

Taking it one day at a time, because there's no way to know what might have been.

Great points and there are those of us who work in companies at certain levels that upon resignation, the company prefers to pay you out and end the relationship same day.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

No letter needed. Just tell HR I'm retiring early. It's gonna happen in a couple years anyway.

I like what I do. People there are good. No reason to go out on a bad note.

If it was a job that everyone there absolutely hated and everyone was treated like crap, if the JP was big enough I would give enough to my co workers for a mass retirement.
