It seems we are in a time where people can't seem to function unless they know the 'why' for every activity they are interested in.
Rather than accepting something at face value, many people want to argue over the details.

This malady also affects lottery play,
Seems some people who come to LP for handouts think they are entitled to a detailed explanation for the combinations they are interest in.
This also applies to some LP members who don't seem able to comprehend the workout details that are posted.
I have a strategy I call 'Bob's Lottery Entertainment System.'
No, it's not available on-line.
Basically, the dumb as dirt lottery balls are arranged and then rearranged 'according to specific rules of procedure.'
When draw results are logged or recorded according to rules, two 'follower' strings are generated.
These strings are then analyzed for clues that help identify the integers having the best chance of being in the next winning arrangement.
It's Simple Simon, grade school level stuff.
Maybe a lot of lottery gamblers are losing simply because they can't seem to do anything by rote, assuming they know what that means.

Doing it by rote will cause most probably I believe to simply give up and besides where is the instant gratification in rote anyway.. .. not easy and boring why keep doing the same process over and over and .. Its the modern day way man who wants to work hard repetitively at anything, unless you know there is a real reward for you at the end..

most are not going to follow any process involving lots of effort that's the real problem..

Doing things by rote is a means to an end.
Face it. Do you think the British broke the German codes by analyzing a couple of messages?
If I recall correctly, it took a lot people doing a lot of stuff by rote day after day after day.
Fortunately, they didn't get bored or lazy.
They laid the groundwork that eventually paid off, and saved lives.
It's the same with lottery analysis.
You have to do a lot of routine stuff by rote to generate data that, if analyzed properly, can be used win a prize.
To use a sports term - no pain, no gain!
If players are unable or unwilling to do stuff by rote, they might not ever have a win.

Just the winning tickets is only half the story. How many tickets did you buy in total? Are you ahead or behind?

If you're not going to do any math, you should save yourself some money and stop playing the lottery.

I've won about $8,000 playing Texas Daily 4 over the past 3 years.
I hit a straight for $5,000 with 1 of 4 tickets.
I posted a copy of the ticket.
I will have to buy an awful lot of tickets before my ROI for this game goes red.

It is random. Yes, you can look at past data and find a pattern. That doesn't mean the pattern will continue. Sometimes patterns continue, and sometimes they don't. It's random. So it doesn't matter which numbers you picked, every ticket has the same chance of winning.

Lots of Keno players "do it by rote". They notice some numbers being drawn together and play them. Some other players do it in reverse, they play numbers that are not drawn together like the four spot I played tonight.

Okay, so 'rote' can and is definitely applicable to the the Pick games but, I believe that the most important variable is that what the player is basing their rote approach on must also be consistent with their rote. Make sense? See, rote is supposed to produce the same output for the same consistent input but, the player must also know the 'what' and 'why' aspects of their particular rote...which ultimately results in a 'system.' Rote equals the player filing away what they've learned based on a win but, if they're not paying attention to all the circumstances around the win then, it's null and void. This would be the equivalent of a Quick Pick where the player(s) simply win on the numbers drawn and their ticket(s) match but, they don't know why and it's 100% NOT repeatable from draw to draw within reason. This is called 'luck' and there's nothing wrong with luck especially if luck favors one on MM's or PB because that's all it takes to be set for life.

However, I personally believe that a player needs consistency with the Pick games in order for the 'positive cash flow' to be realized and utilized in their daily life, and, luck isn't consistent. When I say consistent, I mean winning enough and 'often' enough to where the player doesn't go into the red...and it DOESN'T mean that the player has to win on every single draw. Consistency with gambling simply means that the player wins enough money often enough to keep them ahead of the game...that's it. * No one will win on every single draw....PERIOD. Every player, no matter how great their system and 'rote' is, will have to give back some of the profits they've won from the house, okay. Again, rote is actually a required input for success but, is also useless if the player fails to input that same information based on those equal circumstances which they won on. In essence, the player is still trying to create a 'SYSTEM'...and this same system is still based on 'NUMBERS.' Now, if a player isn't implementing math with their system them, it's impossible for them to know just how far ahead or in the hole they really are in the game. I could care less about winning tickets. What I'd want to verify is the 'time line' BETWEEN those winning tickets as that makes all the difference in just how well one's rote-based system really is. Let's see the LOSING TICKETS with the DATES AND EXPENSES and add all those up and then compare those to the posted winning tickets. *That will tell all in terms of TRUE PROFITS. Anyone can post a winning ticket but, just how long has it been since that player actually won...and how much did they win at that time. So forth and so on. I'm not picking on anyone, just stating what is also applied to any business claiming to be thriving....WE NEED ALL THE NUMBERS, NOT JUST THE GOOD ONES.

Small games, frequent wins, and regular payouts 'cause.....

I have a systematic workout that requires data to be processed by rote in accordance with a plan.
The end result is two data strings that can be analyzed and used to choose which integers seem to have the best chance of winning.
However, to win I have to make multiple correct guesses, which isn't as easy as it may seem.
Mathematics has a role in lottery play.
I don't think I ever said otherwise.
I just say I can win with my methods without the usual math-based stuff many lottery gamblers live by.
A non-mathematics workout doesn't seem possible to the majority, which is OK.
It's a 'to each his own' situation. It's not a contest.
It's also amazing how some people use to think that a single win was sufficient evidence that
the User has something worthwhile.
Now, one win is not enough. You now have to have multiple wins and a favorable return on investment.
Otherwise, the method used is just a waste of time.
Same can be said with winning a jackpot.
Winning once is not enough. You have to win a second time.
Otherwise, the win was just pure luck.
All the work the winner did is secondary, if considered at all.
Strange how some folks who have a lot to say never seem able to show any evidence that they have ever won anything of real value.
I guess they are just jealous that other people have found a way to win.
I doubt a majority of lottery gamblers have a favorable ROI, assuming they even think about one.
We all want to win but we know deep down that playing the lottery is mostly a losing situation.
The only happy campers are those who, by whatever means, win a substantial prize, which, will most likely be used to buy more tickets.
Bottom line - it's all about recreation with a possible pay back.

Each number has the same chance of being chosen as a winning number, so any time you spend trying to predict the future is a waste of time. If you waste too much time doing this, you could get a part-time job and use the earnings to buy lots more tickets, which improves the probability of winning a big prize.

It's that simple... if you want to improve your probability of winning a large prize, then earn more money and spend it on lottery tickets. Mathematics and intuition agree on that one.

We’re not looking for excuses by the way. You always tell of your system as the only way, and better than all the rest. But you never seem to talk about it much. Other than vague general opinions of your own. Perhaps I’m wrong, but it’s a lot of speech with no direction in my view. I do use math by the way. And I’ve won more than that this year alone, almost double by now but not quite. To be totally honest, you’d be surprised how much I could’ve won and the numbers I’ve had written down at the time. As well as some of the numbers that have shown from ways I do things. You’d honestly be surprised.

Problem with ‘math’ is sometimes you forget how you do something, and you have to do it every single time and it takes time, and then when you’re done you have to think about it on top of it. It can be distracting. And it can take time. And after all this is more of a hobby than a real job. But I see no other better way to show you something to see the number before hand, and in essence actually track, than math. As I’m sure you say the same thing of your ways. It doesn’t make one wrong or right. It depends on the person. But I’m still not sure what your overall point is after all these years. Just my opinion.

Sometimes you do the right thing just because it’s right.

Life's a game of mathematics, if you can't figure that out I don't know what to tell you.

Well, the bottom line in all this is whatever bobby623 is doing works for him.

More power to him. We all (or most of us) are looking for that little method to help us win money. Nothing wrong with that.
