Converting from a base to different base has underlying translations, which should be look into.

NB: I am trying to understand the selection of the rogue values.

I think the right/left click append idea is a good one. I viewed the sets outputted by Ultra 3/4 and took them out to remove all numbers with 4 as a middle digit. It would be nice to be able to append the remaining sets back into the program. Im am still dealing in hundreds and p4 1000s of numbers for online play. Can't wait to be successfully analyzing my way to single digits.

I tried the batch tool and I cannot quite tell which numbers to put in the yellow boxes yet. But I can many times tell which numbers should Not go in the box.

If I see that there has been three consecutive rogue values with zero 2s in them.

Digit 2:[__]000112411012312121212012301012 etc.. I know the next rogue value won't have a zero 2s in it based on history. I can eliminate all rogue values with zero 2s.

one for pick-3 and one for pick-4. It records the last game that was loaded for each.

I understand the request but unless I pre-build all the files and startup entries then it could be a mess. Also

what if someone built a custom database, it would require creating extra draw-files plus editing other files

to make it work. In a past program I included a option that allowed the user to add games but it caused

problems and the topic got ate up with support questions. The same thing goes for saving the filter settings,

the stack settings etc... They all add to the problems that could pop up so I limited it to just saving the most

important stuff for the last game loaded.

The entire pick-3 is converted to a rogue as a single value. The set 123 is not converted 1 then 2 then 3

but as a single number 123.

The conversion explained.

set 486 in base 10 to rogue

It takes 5 rogues to reduce a pick-3 to a single value.

Hand calculation

486 / 256 = 1 with a remainder of 230. Rogue A = (1)

230 / 64 = 3 with a remainder of 38. Rogue B = (3)

38 / 16 = 2 with a remainder of 6. Rogue C = (2)

6 / 4 = 1 with a remainder of 2. Rogue D = (1)

2 / 1 = 2 with a remainder of 0. Rogue E = (2)

Set 486 in base 4 = 13212

Groups of digits cluster in value and in totals such as the 333+1&2. Many times you will see different

such groupings and sometimes the cluster will repeat with different digits, ie to 222+13. Another would

something like 22+11+3.

I don't limit myself to just one cluster, I may use 3 or 4 and just build a couple lines for each. I know

this may seem different than the instructions I give in other places but people need to learn that stuff

first as I did before moving on to my current methods. The first instructions will build a sore of base

knowledge that can then be built upon. Some have already developed methods that work for them.

There is no one way that works all the time, the more you understand the more options you have

when building a setup. Sometimes simple is better, I spend years building countless tools to predict

what to play next, some hit 3 values often enough but I am faced with not knowing which 3 to play.

Just edit the sets in the drawfile then save the changes before you exit. The program will

update the counter to reflect the changes. Be careful not to add empty spaces to the end

of each line/set or the counter will give a false count.

A-D-E would have been tough calls.

This might have been possible as C-D-E-G were top hitters and

A-B-F were all 2nd best.

I completely understand what you are saying I like it the way it is I learn to deal with the program givin. Wish i knew coding but im too old to learn it as my brain dont retain things as it use to. I find myself putting my socks on the wrong feet ALL the time.

Hi all

I uploaded the updated ULTRA-34.EXE file to the MISC folder linked on page 1 of this thread.

I have not updated any of the other links with the new file so youcan't get the update by

downloading the installers.

Download Instructions.

1st make sure the ultra-34 program is not running

Next go to page 1 of this thread and click the MISC link, it's the last link in the list

You will be taken to the MISC folder where the new updated file resides.

Look for the ULTRA-34.EXE file and click it then hit the download button.

Once the file has been downloaded, copy it to the C:\ULTRA-34 folder.

I will update the other links once I update the databases.

I also added the left and right click option to the main run button. L-click will erase any lines in the drawfile before it

generates and R-click will append the new lines to the drawfile without erasing them first. The slots tool appends the

lines regardless of left or right click.

Not playing P-3 or P-4 I didn't feel I had anything of interest to say. I do drop by from time to time to check how you are guys doing. It looks you do ok.

Thanks, things are pretty stable right now and hope and pray they do not get worse.

Thanks for the response to a question that didn't needed to be asked. I do have a copy of the program. I was and am sleep deprived I asked the question on my break and after I sent it. I thought about it when I got off and checked the pc and saw that I had it. So i'm sorry to have wasted your time. Thanks again.

For the other question you pose i like it the way it is because I will forget to clear. I was planning to do post some more results this weekend but I just found I have to work so only 36 hours off.
