In a pick-5 you can cover 20 numbers for a 5 of 5 in 15,504 lines. Instead of using 3if4 4if5
etc... You may want to generate the full list then filter it down to whatever level meets your
budget using other methods than a wheel, 27 numbers can be covered in 80,730 lines.
If your list is static, ie, same numbers played each game then you can calculate the number of
hits for each prize level that can be expected game to game. If the list is not static then back
testing against the games history should give you a rough estimate of what you can expect
in future play. Wheeling 20 numbers covers 15504/575757=.0269 of the total lines in a pick 5
of 39 matrix. Using the odds for a 4 of 5 hit which is 1 in 3386.8 I would estimate that the list
would contain a 4of5 hit around 1 in 5.5 attempts. Cover master covers a pick-5 of 20 for a
4 of 5 hit provided all 5 numbers are in the 20 number list in 481 lines. Given the number of
lines needed to cover vs the expected number of shows for this prize level it would not earn a
profit no matter how long you play it unless you happen to hit a 5 of 5 in the not too distant
future. However if you have a method of choosing the list of numbers that consistently traps
all 5 numbers then it might play out differently.
