The Next morning, I was about 2 miles into the drive when I saw a Couple with a Flat Tire and no jack. They were flagging me down so I pulled over to help. I recognized the Little Trailer first, then Richard’s Cousin. His partner stepped out of the Trailer with a steaming cup of coffee that she handed to me with a look of relief. “Thank you for stopping” she said as I took the jack out of my truck. I had to dig a hole under the car to get the jack in place but, the rest was easy. They were ready to go about 15 minutes later. Cousin told me that Richard had been threatened by Jimmy Cricket after the show. Richard was hiding somewhere now looking for Crickets and Lottery Security. They got in the car and pulled out. As they passed me, I could swear, I saw the curtains move in the little trailer.
A few hours later, I crested the summit and there was Sum City in the distance. About 5 miles from town, the speed limit dropped to 35. About 1 mile later, there was Richards Cousin getting a ticket. He was headed in the opposite direction and I soon learned why. An Orange sign appeared Directing all vehicles to stop for a safety inspection. It was right out of the 60s. Signals, break lights and tail lights and that infamous headlight checker that failed everyone. Cars that passed all had new stickers in the window or a plate that was less than 1 year old. As I drove away with my fix it ticket, I noticed the officers that stopped Richards Cousin had drawn their guns and were ordering someone out of the Trailer. The door opened and out stepped a figure with a tin foil hat and what looked like welder’s goggles. The Person was on the ground being cuffed as I lost vision cresting a small rise.
Sum Town was a really clean place. I counted 20 people dressed in green sweeping the streets and sidewalks in front of a commercial center that began with 5 “Repair” shops offering to adjust your lights for $29.95 and let you pay your $50.00 fine.
There was a map of Town. District Labels such as “Num Sum” and “Root Sum” made up Old Town. I had no interest in this part of town. I was here to visit the New “Sum Parts” area made up of First Digits, 5ths, 3rds and a little understood place called Sum P. I turned onto Sum Place Drive and a few block latter I was in front of Sum Depot, the new “Big Box” Store that was still being protested by unhappy residence claiming the store put Mom and Pop out of business.
I drove a little farther and found a parking place in the CricketMart Parking lot. I started walking to Sum Depot. As I passed a small storefront, I heard a voice say “You Look for Sum Thing? You no find at Depot, I show you here” said a small old man rapping his came on the door jamb. “Come, I show you Secret.”
Inside, he asked me “What you think you know?” “I know there are a lot of parts” I said. “I am just here to see how they all add up.” He laughed and said “All can add. Few know what to add.” “Only a few know what the Sum means.” He added. “I only one is town who knows.” “I tell everyone. So far only 1 understand. I tell you, see if you can learn or if your eyes are blocked.”
I looked around his “business”. On three walls the shelves were crammed with boxes of varying size. The shelves were colored and grouped. The Green Shelves were labeled “ ∑ 1st “. The Orange Shelves “ ∑ 5th “. The Blue shelves were labeled “ ∑ 3rd “ and Finally Grey shelves labeled “∑ P “. The fourth wall was a bunch of empty shelves.
“Erase your eyes” he said. “Clear your mind. Forget Add”. “Add already done. Every Add is on shelves”. “The Sum of All Parts is right in front of you.” “Now, you pick Box from Sump Part of each Colored Shelf. You set Parts on the empty shelves and open boxes. If any 2 boxes have a matching set, that is your destiny. If more than 2 boxes have a matching set that is your destiny. If all 4 boxes contain a matching set that is your destiny. If there is no matching set in the 4 boxes, you must try again.”
How does one know which box to Pick?” I asked. “There are so many boxes and possible combinations”.
“That you must answer yourself” he chuckled. “No way to know this. You have to Guess. The Secret is not making Foolish Guess. The Boxes are your friends. The Empty Shelves are your sifter. Once you learn how to use the empty shelves, you can find combinations with more hits than misses. You will venture in and out of “Knowing” in phases. You will find balance or you will lose your ass and mind.
“Good Luck” to you he said, “that will be $45.00 and you get a list of all of the Boxes and Their Contents”
-
I left the shop $45.00 lighter in the wallet, carrying a thick book that reminded me of the Books of Logarithms and Trig Functions I used in the 60s. I half expected the Old Guy to try to sell me a Slide Rule. As I left, I asked him “Has this been put into a Digital File?” He smiled again and said “You find at Depot”.
The Sum Depot was crowded with Seniors dressed for Vacation. Mostly Shorts and White New Balance Sneakers Topped with a T-Shirt proclaiming something about being Old. They wandered down rows of Racks containing Colorful Boxes Each with a large label. Some had Lists that they were trying to match. A few were counting their paces as they moved between rows. Stopping at a count and then flipping a coin to decide whether to look left or right. I noticed several people using their cell phone to scan boxes.
Near the checkout stand there was a display with a small sign that said “Digital Sums the Complete Reference”. Inside the front cover there was a compact disc in and envelope pocket. Another $45.00 drain and I exited the Depot with The Book and CD.
I was getting into my Truck when I saw the Little Trailer. I went back into the Store and soon found Richards Cousin and partner. They were following a hunched figure wearing a Tin Foil Hat. He was wearing welding googles and tapping a white cane on the racks. I got a closer look at the googles and realized that each lens was a small video screen. Wires from the googles ran to a fanny pack on his right side.
I approached and Cousin said “Hey, Nice to see you again”. His partner looked at the Tin Man and then back at me with a slight amount of fear in her eyes. The Tin Man lifted his googles to look at me and I realized that it was Richard. “You guys alright” I said. “Last I saw you were getting a ticket and the cops had drawn their guns” I added. “Just a misunderstanding” said Cousin. “I didn’t even get a ticket. They just took down our information and said to be careful.” When he said “information” Richard jumped. “We need to GO NOW” he said and began to rapidly tap his cane and shuffle for the exit. Outside there were a couple of Black SUVs parked on the Street across from the parking lot. Near a tree I spotted a man holding what looked like a dish and pointing it in our direction. “I see them” said Cousin to Richard. “At least it is not the Cricket Mafia, Just Lottery Security. You are safe For Now”. “They want My Math and My Brain” said Richard as he climbed into the Trailer. He immediately started peaking out of the curtains toward the SUVs. The Man with the dish got back into the vehicle and the SUVs pulled out together and headed West. Cousin got in the car and said “Gotta Go”. He pulled out of the parking lot and headed East. I watched him disappear and then headed for my truck. As I crossed the Drive Isle in front of the Store a long Black Cadillac with tinted windows waited for me to cross.
The Cadillac followed me as I headed North to the KOA. It kept going when I pulled into the Entrance of the of the Sum Dale KOA. I found my spot, plugged in and climbed into the Fifth Wheel. I fired up my PC and inserted the Reference CD. The File was huge. It took the swirling donut about 3 minutes to load the file. I was soon cruising through a seemingly endless set of Tables. These Tables were pretty straight forward and consisted of page after page of “Sum Codes” that contained every combination matching the Code. Some Codes had a few hundred thousand combinations. Many were in the 20,000 combination Range.
I looked through the Book and scrolled around the file looking for some instruction. I found Nothing. All I had was Data. “Great”, I thought as I imagined the steps it would take to make the Data Applicable to an actual Lottery Game. There were around 350 Codes spread across 8 Categories. Application would require that these codes be calculated and included in the draw history combined with a method of combination retrieval when a code was selected. “What do I get when this is done?” I thought. “All this work and the Results would yield 20,000 or more combinations 99% of the time”. Sure, there were some small inventories, but they were extreme sets like all 5 numbers under 10” I thought.
I was beginning to miss my $90.00. A couple of books, a CD and the “promise” that the answer could be found among 20,000+/- candidates did not inspire me. I was about to shelve the idea, when I picked up the Old Man’s Book. Leafing through it, my eagerness continued to fade and then there it was. I remembered the Old Man’s words. “All Can Add, Few, Know What to Add”. Hand written in a Margin on last page, I found the following note. “You must combine the correct 3 from 153”.
I had a lot of experience assembling and combining codes. That experience helped me quickly understand the margin comment. The Book and Cd contained a complete inventory of all combinations matching sums for the First Digit (1), Fifths (5) and Thirds (3). All that was needed was some Draw History.

I dug into the history as I always dig. I began with the Sum of the First Digits (Decades). I followed that with the Sum of the Fifths. Next came the Sum of Thirds. And Lastly the Sum of P. The first 3 Sums are self-explaining.
P is a Position Value. It is created by combination of the 5th and 3rd values. The Chart Below shows the P Value for each the 7 5th 3rd Values by Position.

I remembered my visit to the Old Mans Shop. I was ready to find My Destiny. A thought about Herding Cattle comes to mind. I Imagine I am John Wayne taking 575,757 head to Texas. Speaking of Texas, where are you Garyo? Arriving with the Herd they are herded thru a series of gates and separated by there Values. This is a big Place with 470 Pens that are accessed by going thru the gates in sequence beginning with the Sum of 1st, followed by the Sum of 5th, followed by the Sum of 3rd and finally Sum of P. Each Pen has a different count. Pens with a hit % greater than the Inventory% are green.
The Chart Below is a complete list of Codes (Pens). It first reveals the Old Man’s Deception. Instead of Finding My Destiny, I often find it Hiding in a rather large Group. Non the Less, at least I am Close, IF. Game Data for this Example is Ohio Rolling Cash 5. Hits are for all 5417 Draws.

I have arrived at an Intersection in the middle of somewhere. For some strange reason it is a roundabout in the middle of Nowhere. I am circling the middle lane trying to pick a direction. A quick look at this Thread and it becomes clear to me that I have to make a Turn. Going Straight and continuing no longer makes sense. Too much focus on the response that rarely comes.
I pick Left and head home to California. I redefine my goal. Winning has to take priority over Atta boys.
So, THAT’S ALL FOLKS.
Good Luck and May God Bless (Red Skelton).
Yeah, I am that Old.

As I Pull the Fifth Wheel over the Summit I will leave you all with a parting set of Guesses for Ohio. The Sets of Numbers were found by applying the annual Counts (discussed briefly in Greenfox's Thread on Predicting Numbers) with Fifths, Thirds (LMH) and OE. Sets are for the Remaining 2 Draws of 2019.
