Not enough information to make an educated guess.
First, we need to know if you are calling your jump a series of numbers, Like 0,0,1 (for a four ball game), or is it the total of the series, 1 in the case?
That makes a difference in where the sets fall.
If I chart the total 1 for a 435 it looks like this....
We get a bunch of tetris looking critters but it doesn't show which results are 1,0,0, which are 0,1,0, and which are 0,0,1. (Cool looking chart though, right?)
Second, what other filters are you comparing?
So best (of anything) is determined by your intent (goal) and the present conditions. And to an extent what you have at your disposal and what suits your needs.
Even with those we're talking a "best we've got," "IMO the best," "Best case scenario" and not an absolute best, since as we gather more information we find datum and conditions that change the definition of "best."

You need to rethink one of your answers....
OP you defined the jump filter as...."(difference) between the numbers"
Now you say..... "I'm referring to the pick 3 game"
Pick 3 game don't often produce ascending sets. You have sets like 123, but you also have 321, 895, 473, 734, etc.
Considering that outcome you'll have sets of 0,0 (all triples).
The others will result in a negative/negative; negative/positive; positive/negative; or positive/positive value.
The global chart will have four quadrants accordingly. If the intent is to chart all straight sets that's your only option.
Another way to do it would be to put all sets in ascending order and use the difference of those.
This is known as box signatures that look like this......
The triples are all 0,0.
Front double digit pairs are all 0, X.
Back double digit pairs are all X, 0.
The higher the first number, the fewer combinations in the set until you hit 9,0 which consists of one set 099.
Your choice.
