880 went from 2/8/1980 until 11/13/1999 without hitting straight at night that was almost 20 years. When it went into a hot cycle it hit on 8/17/2007, 12/22/2009, 5/12/2010, 9/27/2013, 10/16/2014, 1/31/2015, 9/3/2016, 10/19/2018, 11/27/2018, and 9/12/2020 that's 10 times during a 16 year stretch.................after at one point having not hit once in almost 20 years. It certainly made up the deficit and could hit again as loosechange has posted. 888 has had some cold patches as well watch for that one if playing an alternate and something about 884 rings a bell a bit too. We had a shortage of 88 pairs 1 to 2 years back if I remember right at night.
Not sure if anyone has 636 posted but wanted to mention I think that one has the world record at night when it went from 9/9/1995 till 1/15/2022.
637 on daytime is out as a very long out daytime straight. Most of the other stuff is pertaining to historic nighttime events.
The numbers that went 20 to 27 years without hitting at night straight but all hit last year to break the drought were 121 284 636 all 3 should go into a hotter cycle straight. The potential is there for at least one of the 3 to do what 880 did after its drought.
310 390 398 012 567 880 121 284 636 567 were some of the ones that had the big droughts before they hit at night.
