Hello Team,

I'm looking for the program/software/plugin or website code that people use to auto-generate numbers. This isn't random number generation. It's auto generating numbers from a chart/table. I saw a site that has this feature but I can't figure out what they are using to autogenerate all of the possibilities. Here's a table for example.

4 1 4 6

6 0 1 5

8 3 7 3

9 5 3 2

6 8 5 9

6 4 8 6

5 0 1 4

What's the autogenerator/program/input etc. that would spit out all of the possible 4-number combinations from a chart? The conditions are that the numbers have to touch each other.

Some 4-digit numbers I would come up with are

9373, 8372, 6015, 6832, 6481 etc. would all be valid outputs.

the autogenerator should not give out the numbers 3734 for example since not all numbers are connected.

Some other essential features of this autogenerator is to list how many times a 4-digit number (in any order) shows up. For example, 4141 shows up twice.

If you are familiar with the board game Boggle, what you are looking for is essentially a program that finds all possible grid paths of fixed length L, from any starting square with coordinates (i, j). I googled "Boggle search algorithm python" and found a few tutorials and code examples, such as this one

You can easily replace letters with digits and create a "dictionary" that is simply all possible Pick 4 combinations from 0000 to 9999.

To generate all possible 4-digit combinations from a chart or table where the numbers have to touch each other, Here's a Python code

I think that this one is probably above my pay grade, but I am going to think about it anyway just to see if I get any ideas about it. But, I am going to need some clarifications first.

Is the grid always 4 columns and 8 lines? Is the "numbers have to touch each other" you refer to mean both up and down? Forward and backward? Both diagonal directions? All combinations of these directions in 1 selection of number and 3 more moves to get a 4 digit number? Can 1, 2, or 3 numbers be reused to form another number? If all of these apply in any combination to get 4 numbers the result is going to be a pretty large number of combinations/permutations.

Can you let us know where the website is where you saw that feature? That may be a big help.

Let us know.

But, I am not all bad all of the time...

Is the grid always 4 columns and 8 lines? My lottery system grid is always 4 columns and 11 lines. The first and last lines are the previous day's pick4 winning number. Personally, I wont play combos that use all 4 digits from the previous draw and that would be my automatic filter from all of the possible combinations.

Can 1, 2, or 3 numbers be reused to form another number? Yes

If all of these apply in any combination to get 4 numbers the result is going to be a pretty large number of combinations/permutations. A lot of the combinations would repeat in this box play system. The generation should sort the 4 numbers in ascending order. Here's an example of how many combinations/permutations I'm prepared to filter from. On the website they have one grid that is 4 columns and 10 lines. In one instance, the generator gave out 386 unique box combinations for this grid (some single eg. 1234, some double eg. 1123, few triples eg. 1112 etc.). This is a workable number of combinations as I would be able to filter down to 20-40 sets to play.

Note: The reason why I can't just use that website to get my daily list of combinations/permutations is because their grid is derived from a different formula from mine.

I have a procedure in one of my programs that can count all linked 3, 4, or 5 digit numbers or just the low combo 3, 4, or 5 digit numbers, as seen below. You simply write code to check that each linked cell's row and column touch each other.

I looked at that site and could not make heads or tails of it. Probably because it would not let me into many pages as I am not a member. No help there, but here is what I do know.

I did not specifically ask and was not specifically given the information that the first of the four numbers we are hunting can begin anywhere - In a corner, along a border, or in an inner line or row, but that is how I am looking at the problem from that angle.

The information was given is that a move in any direction to a cell that borders the current cell with a side or a point is allowed (except backing up). That is how I am looking at the problem from that angle.

So, I am currently seeing the problem as how many unique shapes or patterns can be made in the 4 by 11 grid with a beginning in one cell (44 possible starting points) and making 3 more moves in any direction to another cell that is adjacent by a side or a point.

As I see the problem the numbers themselves are not really important at this time as they can be assembled, counted, sorted, and made into boxable combinations pretty easily once they have been identified within the shapes or patterns in the grid.

As far as I can get is:
Starting in a corner, step 2 will have 3 possibilities.
Starting on a side, step 2 will have 5 possibilities.
Starting in an inside row/column, step 2 will have 8 possibilities.
Step 3 really gets crazy depending on where step 2 lands.

Sorry, but I cannot find a logical/mathematical way to identify all of those shapes or patterns in the grid. Maybe this info will provide a nudge to someone else who may be a bit more imaginative than me.

In the 1973 movie "Magnum Force", Dirty Harry Callahan said: "A man's got to know his limitations." Well, I think I have found one of mine unless I am seeing this problem all wrong.

This kind of sounds like a directed graph adjacency matrix problem... There are some interesting machine learning algorithms in this domain...

The system grid is quite simple to understand but daunting to manually write out all possibilities. Let's look at my grid for predicting the March 15th, 2024 Midday Pick 4 draw. The March 14th, 2024 Midday winning number was 4785.

So from this grid, I would start picking numbers that are connected to each other in all of the possible ways (ideally passing/touching the highlighted blue number).

1642, 1613, 9069, 6095, 5399, 0999, 3996, 3901, 7936, 6197, 2369... now I'm exhausted from looking at the chart (putting unnecessary filters in my head) and give up. Let's see what the draw result will be after 2pm and if it shows up on the grid.

This grid is amazing.

Ontario March 15th Evening draw winning number was 9361 which shows up on the midday grid and the evening grid.

As you can see from the quick numbers I selected (1642, 1613, 9069, 6095, 5399, 0999, 3996, 3901, 7936, 6197, 2369) my top 5 digits that I thought would show up were 0, 1, 3, 6, and 9. It was a matter of having an auto-generator to give me all of the options (about 500-600 box combination possibilities) on that grid that I could then filter with my top 5 digits, leaving me with 20-40 sets to play.

Let's get this figured out guys so we can make thousands of dollars twice a day.

The combinations frequency and occurrences generated from that site do not look right to me. It says the box combination of 3457 shows up 48 times. By looking at that grid, I only see 3457 about 9 times maximum. Either a system error or they are calculating the combinations frequency using multiple grids for the same draw. Any thoughts?
