  the draws will be in ascending order, both in pick3,4,5,6.. the tracking by position by position will see its frequency of repetitions in the column and also with the neighboring number (neighboring position

  Practical Example: pick3
  Imagine that we are playing the animal game. Let's consider a group of 4 numbers: 1234.

  Repetitions by Position:

  Position 1: We check how many times the number 1 appeared in the first position in all previous draws.
  Position 2: We do the same for the number 2 in the second position.
  Position 3: We check the frequency of the number 3 in the third position.
  Position 4: Finally, we analyze the number 4 in the fourth position.
  Relationship with Neighboring Numbers: In addition, we can observe if, for example, when the number 1 appears in the first position, which number is more likely to appear in the second position.
  Repetitions by All Positions:

  We check if the exact sequence 1-2-3-4 has already been drawn before, in any order (for example, 2-1-4-3). Or if any permutation of these numbers (1-3-2-4, 4-3-2-1) has ever appeared.

  Good start, but go buy more sidewalk chart......blue, red, and green for each position of your pick 3 game.

  Next step: determine the numbers following each number in each position. 

  Now determine what numbers fall in the other two positions for each number that falls in the third 

  Finally determine the pairs that hit with each number in each of the three positions.

  i think he is talking about skips by position. I went down a rabbit whole a few weeks ago with this, until I learned how my state lottery operate.

  So you are basically looking for the horizontal frequency (the entire draw in all positions) for each number in each position?

  That sounds like it would be a nightmare to implement. I have spent probably the last year establishing a codebase to analyze vertical frequency (followers). The frequency distribution ends up being just about as uniform as the starting data.

  You would probably have to encode your draw history as a "list of lists", for example

  [[5, 2, 4 ,7], [9, 0, 8, 7], ... [1, 6, 6, 2]] then you can count by inner list index, such as when inner list [0] is a 1, count the inner list indices of [1], [2] and [3]. (Lists are 0 indexed in just about every programming language, so for a 4 digit list, the first position is an index of 0)

  So what would the output of such a search look like?

  Would it generate a list from 0 to 9 in the first position and then show the numbers most frequently drawn in positions 2, 3 and 4 with each number? Then repeat the process 0 to 9 in each position?

  That is an interesting concept, but from the trenches of data analysis, the "most frequent" numbers rarely happen together in the same draw. Seems like it would give out 40 combos on a pick 4, a bit cost prohibitive.
