I would imagine a similar play pattern is happening in your Fantasy 5 game, and across the country in all lotto style games. Many years ago when not many states had big lotto games, Florida had a big jackpot game that people were flying in from overseas to play, people were borrowing on their homes, etc. The lottery said after the game they had about 50,000 plays on 01-02-03-04-05-06 and that combo would have paid each winner about $1,000.

A very long time ago they were definitely paying attention to Lotto, because they ran ads telling people not to play the diagonals starting at the top corners on the bet slip. My recollection is that each one was played over 8,000 times.

Other than telling players not to play combinations that would reduce a jackpot to $1000 bucks I don't know that there's a practical reason to track such things, but as easy as it is I'd be surprised if they didn't pay some attention.

I'm not saying rigged drawings do not happen. I am saying that consecutive numbers in a drawing does NOT = a rigged drawing. Think about it...if you were planning to rig a drawing, why in the world would you bring attention to your rigged drawing by using consecutive numbers?

In OH Rolling Cash 5, 4 consecutive numbers (out of 5 drawn) has occurred 20 times in 7244 drawings. I realize the RC5 number pool (39) is less than that of MM (70), but my point is consecutive numbers can and do occur in ANY lottery game.

Larry, please learn to read and write plain English. Go back and read my post again. Maybe you'll see what my point was. I wasn't comparing apples to oranges. I was simply making a point about consecutive numbers being drawn in general, as in "ANY lottery game".

This topic of "the drawing rigged" seems to pop up every time consecutive numbers are drawn in ANY game. There are those of us who understand random and then there are those who don't. Stick with whatever you believe in, just as I will.

PB 1137 draws since 10/07/2015. One drawing with 4 consecutive numbers, none with 5.

02/20/2019 --> 27 49 50 51 52 02

Jackpot was $282M. Next jackpot was $304M. An increase of $22M?...pfft. Nine draws after that, the jackpot was $725M and there was your winner.

MM 745 draws since 10/31/2017. One drawing with 4 consecutive numbers, none with 5.

12/17/2024 --> 56 66 67 68 69 18.

Jackpot was $760M. No jackpot winner. Next jackpot is currently $862M

If you look at the past MM statistics, you'll see there is no need to rig a drawing, especially when it's at $500M or more. The hype and excitement are enough to get people to buy more tickets.

IMO, the MM drawing in question was not rigged. It's just a case of where random displayed a visual that some people misunderstand, and paranoia takes over.
