Whether it be:
1. Playing a set of combos from a select group of numbers that you calculate.

2. A formula for buying x amount of tickets.

It's considered fraud now?
What is considered "Bulk"?
I have an idea, but I'm curious what do you guys think?

For anyone who doesn't understand, i'll simplify it further:
If I were to track pick 2, pick 3 numbers, pick 4, pick 5 numbers to win, and filter out the results with my combos. It's considered fraud.

No. There is no deception or criminal activity involved.

Why would anyone think that was fraud?

That was the issue concerning couriers-3rd parties purchasing tons of tickets. If there is no law banning bulk purchases or the use of couriers, then it is ok.

You asked about filtering numbers to create possible winners. Completely different issue.

NO. But you need to disclose that to the lottery if asked. It could raise issues as to whether your cousin is entitled to half or more of the winnings if he paid for the tickets and various other possible promises or agreements between you two, etc.

People change quickly when millions of dollars are involved. Do you know how many disputes end up in court between family members??? People say well I never expected my sister to sue me ...she was my best friend...or for my cousin to be so greedy.

Yeah I'm aware, but look at it this way:

If they're willing to share it with you from the jump?

"Jennifer gave me these winning number combinations, now I can finally pay off xxx travel xxx and do xxx" versus, "I bought the tickets!?!".

There's multiple components, not just 1.

none of the ever changing and ever multiplying components of your story amount to fraud. just a really convoluted tale of somebody taking way to many steps to purchase a lottery ticket. it only takes about one minute and two braincells to buy a quick pick.

Someone giving you alleged future winning numbers is meaningless since in reality, no one will ever know what numbers will win unless there is Eddie Tipton type fraud.

If you play numbers someone gives you and you buy the ticket with no promises, the $ is yours. No one can claim a set of numbers belonged to them alone.

And as Brock Lee said, no fraud.

There is no winning formula for pick 3, so you're fine.

Fraud would be fixing the game so your numbers get chosen on purpose.
