I think my neighbor has good intentions with what he says, but he has zero awareness of how his words fall on the ears of other people.

Then again, I've been an eye witness to him deliberately tossing verbal grenades in a large gatherings of people just to cause others to react. On election day of November 2024 he volunteered to work at a local polling station. He took notice of a group of retired men standing on a side walk outside of the polling station waving Trump flags. That caused him to go get a Harris/Walz flag out of the trunk of his car and walk up and down the sidewalk in between the Trump supporters. One of them cussed him out and called him a Communist which he took great offense to. My thought was "What did you think was gonna happen, or did you want that to happen?"

There are definitely times when he just can not suppress the urge toss a bomb or two instead of simply letting something go. That's just how his personality is. I've no idea why he's like that, but he's not alone in this world. G5

It doesn't matter what lotterology is. There is no system that can predict randomly drawn numbers in future drawings. You would need a time machine.

The standard deviation is the square root of the variance. The variance in the number of hits from a list for pick 3 is not terribly difficult to calculate. I did the calculation and shared my results in that thread. The method of selection for what numbers to put on a list is irrelevant.

Your calculation is baseless because the combinations on the list are not necessarily the same combinations that would be produced from fully functioning lotterology.

That's why you can't make an accurate assessment...because you don't know what it is!

Gotta love those people that think they're experts at something they know nothing about.

I once worked with someone like that. Nobody in the office would talk to him unless it was work related. Even if it was related to the job, you couldn't tell him anything. One day a in a very annoyed sounding voice a lady said to him "If you already knew the answer to the question you asked me, why did you ask me in the first place?" I had all I could do to keep from bursting out loud with laughter.

That poor guy had nobody... not at home or work. He was a Catholic but he didn't celebrate things like anniversaries, birthdays, Easter, Thanksgiving or Christmas. I'm retired now, but after returning to work after the New Year's holiday, I was telling someone that I worked with that I had prime rib for Christmas dinner. Mr Know It All was standing nearby so I asked him what he had for Christmas dinner. (Yes, I was definitely "up to no good" by asking him that.)

His answer was "A baloney sandwich." You should have heard that lady with the annoyed sounding voice roar with laughter! Unfortunately that's the kind of treatment folks get when they're obnoxious. I don't make the rules, I just play by them. I just go by what I see. G5
