WOW. I'm glad there are others that found these results (number of 2nd prize winners) incredible.

Quick question . Was it 62 winners who had all 5 numbers - with 27 of those 62 having the 2x?

Or 62 had the 5 numbers for 1m and 27 more had the 5 numbers for 2m?

Yes 62 people won a million bucks. And 27 won 2 million. And the grand prize was won by 2 people. . Go to the powerball website. And under the winning numbers for the draw. Click on results...... It's 116 million in second place prizes........

That looks to be it...

27 win 2M with power play and 62 won 1M.

7 winners in PA and I couldn't even match the red ball...

Interesting how all of the numbers were exactly 16 apart...

3+16 = 19

19+16 = 35

35+16 = 51

51+16 = 67

16 is the second highest equal gap you could have in the PB white balls, the largest would be 17, and you would end up with 1, 18, 35, 52 and 69.

It's a pattern on the playslip. The states with lots of winners, such as Oregon, have a playslip with those numbers that looks like this:

The Colorado Lottery PB playslip does not look like that. Marking a column of numbers that start with 3 would be 3,10,17,24,31.

The Indiana PB playslip also has the OR pattern, and since people in Indiana play PB more than just about anyone it seems, they had lots and lots of winners.

These tickets have to be 99% quick picks. I would like to know as well. If so, an amazing coincidence.

And for self picks, how often do people pick numbers that have exactly the same difference between numbers? That is a new strategy to me and I would have thought that was a way to lose.
