Some of you may be wondering why I mention this game so much even though I've never played it (although I would if I lived closer to a state that sold it.) Reason #1 is that like MM and Powerball, the number of jurisdictions where it is played can increase. ("Hot Lotto" is played in Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, South Dakota, and West Virginia; the DC Lottery will be offering it starting in August.) Reason #2 is that it is a better game that the Mass. 6/42 and 6/49, if for no other reason that the two Mass. games are _still_ annuity-only; Mass. borders NH. If "Hot Lotto" ever comes to Connecticut, Pennsylvania, or Rhode Island, I definitely will play it.

$1.4 million/$840,000 cash Wednesday 2/19. I have a hunch NORTH DAKOTA will have Hot Lotto by Labor Day; DC joins in August. Remember that ND's legislation (currently) allows only MULTI-STATE games; this means ND would not be able to sell scratchers except for the Powerball TV game show.

I will e-mail PA this weekend if they've decided yet on a replacement for Super-6.

DE's all cash Lotto is up to $4.8 Million right now.

I'm surprised no one has hit it yet. I think it's been rolling over for quite a long time.

smd: Too bad I live in NY. Still hope DE tries "Hot Lotto" one day, after DC (and probably ND) sign on.

$2 million Wed. 4/2 if no winner tonight.

While the DC Lottery should be Hot Lotto's sdventh member, it now appears North Dakota's lottery won't start this summer.
