HOT LOTTO now has outlived New Hampshire's "Old Man of the Mountains" rockface, which just collapsed.

That symbol was on the NH state quarter.

Nice to see that future Hot Lotto member DC has keno.

It can be argued thay HL's rollovers are too small (50k). However, there are nine ways to win (same as Powerball); on average almost half the prize money is paid below the jackpot. Overall odds 1:16; matching only the Hot Ball wins $2.

I still haven't heard what day DC will join Hot Lotto. Hope the DC Keno players have some money left over when they get to play Hot Lotto!

Anyone notice that the Idaho and Louisiana sections of "USA Lottery Results" give the HOT LOTTO numbers, even though neither state sells the game?

(Idaho used to have a "Hot Lotto" which was a 5/32 game).

                Lottoscorp:

NY Lotto changed from 6/54 to 6/51 ($1 per play) in March 1999. The 6/59, 2 plays/$1 began the NIGHT AFTER 9/11.

And, yes, NY Lotto still requires you to choose WHEN you play, and still pays back an anemic 38-40%.

Maybe NY should split into two states, with NYC, Westchester, and Long Island keeping MM, with the rest becoming part of MUSL, so they could sell Hot Lotto in addition to Powerball.

                    CASH,

If there is any state that deserves to be split in 2 it's actually New Jersey. North Jersey and South Jersey are like two completely different states.

I'd let South Jersey keep MM and give North Jersey PB.

Perhaps we could split Mass. (and its annuity-only 6/42 and 6/49 games). West of the Connecticut River (parallels I-91) it becomes a MUSL state.

Tennessee finally has approved a state lottery. It would make a good "Hot Lotto" state if it joins MUSL.
