At least Pick-3/4 players don't have to worry about annuities.

didn't the other winners take lump sum?

if they did, they were smart to do so and probably are fans/participants of lottery post.

the ones that took annuity probably never heard of the lottery post (lol).

        Vdude:

AFAIK they haven't claimed. Why on earth would a couple take the 30-payment annuity when they got to choose AFTER they won, and that FL has _no_ state income tax?

No it's because we live in America where you have FREEDOM of CHOICE and they CHOSE ANNUITY and CHOSE WISELY in my opinion. When I WIN I'm choosing ANNUITY and I'll post it here for everyone. When someone chooses

Annuity it doesn't mean they made a bad decision we don't know what the circumstances are for there choosing Annuity.Anyone can argue there point for a CASH option and do the same for an ANNUITY option it all boils down to the preference or circumstances for what a WINNER decides to take. Some feel having all the money at once is a good thing others don't I have my reasons for wanting an Annuity and anyone that chooses a Lump Sum more power to them.I could care less what they choose but one isn't better than the other. And no one in here is qualified to give advice for someone else because if you can't accept both options equally and give an honest opinion based on the winners situation then the advice is useless.Someone that says

CASH is better just because they think Annuity is STUPID or they just don't like it can't give helpful advice becaue there not being fair."I don't like ANNUITY so anyone that asks I'm going to suggest CASH no matter what" this is wrong and anyone who does this should be in jail.

                Pick-4:

What if you hit a pick-4 STRAIGHT, but the lottery told you that the prize had to be paid in 30 annual installments?

CASH is KING and ANNUITY is QUEEN I don't know about you guys but I'd rather be with the QUEEN because she's got everything a man needs. The King is a man who wants

it all at once but the Queen is a woman who wants it for a long period of time.

Pick-4: I agree-the FLORIDA Lottery is much better than the Mass. and NY lotteries because Florida _does_not_ force any of its winners AFAIK into annuity payments.
