Sandy K:

Great story...

All I can say is, it wasn't your time to go. The Lord has more for you to do here on this Earth before he calls you unto him.

Live your life to the fullest and believe...

"No one is more secure than

the one who is held in God's hand."

Chief

May the warm winds of heaven blow softly upon your house. May  the Great Spirit bless all who enter there. May your mocassins make happy tracks in many snows. And may the rainbow always touch your shoulder.

since you invited comments here is my humble opinion - a persons' relationship with god is a very private matter and a lottery forum is not the best place for it.

     emily,

you are right as this is not a "religious" based forum.     i do not doubt that this subject matter makes some uneasy and i guarantee you that despite my personal passion i am not in here to offend.  however as you can tell that for some it IS lottery related. i told my "story" for two reasons ONLY.  (1) so that it would build the faith of those that already believe.  (2) that it would open a door to those who are searching.  the "others" will go about their business and ignore it and that is cool as well.

even though "faith" can be "private" depending on the individual,  would you want to rob someone the chance to actually see God do something after he said it in favor of being politically correct?     i know i wouldn't. even to the point of personal ridicule.

i suppose there are still people in the wings that are holding their thoughts for the very reason that you pointed out. to them it is private. my goal is really the same as anybody in here.  to spend my time with people who are "like minded" will gleaning info from those with whom i differ.

i suppose #2 that if it offended them all they had to do was skip over the various related posts.  me, i am on a mission to make sure that people laugh and that also they get a chance at seeing God work thru me. there is alot at stake in this for me personally and it has nothing to do with money. i put my neck (integrity) on the line that others may benefit.  todd is welcome to stop it at anytime since he is the grandmaster.

    hope i answered your question

      pegleg,

got to look up that word "epiphany" and add it to my routine.            it sounds important and i like those big words (lol).

i am not sure if an epiphany is a one time occurance or an ongoing thing.  all i know is that for 7 years it has been un-relenting and the best part,  something that is beyond my manipulation whether that be emotional or mental.  like i said you can be "positive" all you want but unless it is meant to be,  it isn't going to happen.  i love those circumstances in life that happen that you cannot assign to coincedence. something beyond anything that we can control and that is incessant.  some excuse it away but i know better. i realize that it is at first God getting my attention and then when he has it,    i wait for the "marching orders" and then adjust acordingly. but i have to be willing to be consistent and not choose obedience just in the good times or only when it benefits me.

winning the lottery would be great i cannot lie but you know what really floats my "dingy"?  that i was right. that i heard God and adjusted accordingly. there is nothing that can match that.

i like to attend "church" on the golf course.  it is very peaceful and i also feel something special there.  that is until i triple bogey a hole which in that case i  turn into an automatic catholic ."father forgive me for i have sinned. i have taken the name of jack nicklaus in vain and i promise to never do it again" (that is until the next triple bogey - lol).

thanks for the encouragement and you are right, no one could possibly detour me from what i know to do. not even a traffic cop who looks strinkingly similar to mr. magoo.

            luckycat,

you are correct (and funny at the same time).

"they" already tried to remove the words "In God we trust" from money before.  i am sure they way things are going it won't be long before they try again.

now let me ask you a question.  suppose they are successful.          will that change the way that you think about what you believe concerning the "where" of where your money comes from?             of course not.

moral of the story;  no one can undermine your faith if it is built on a firm foundation (but man will they keep trying).

Hey VD...you can stop buying lottery tickets now...because I think that if God wanted you to win, you would find the winning ticket.

thanks alot golotto.  you are a great addition here at LP with all your stories, insight and most important your encouragement so your comments mean lot to me.

i believe that your encouragement is a good example of the glue that holds LP together. even despite all the different opionions that are in here we are a strong community because of that "glue".
