Strategy System for tracking p3 straights

 Does anyone track their States straights from year to year that has any good suggestions. Most software is setup to confirm hits after the fact or if you have one particular in mind before hand. If you search a particular straight that is dmbedded in your database thats fine. Ask and you receive but thats not good. Should not have to ask on each particular straight.

 Looking for visual glues on one page that you can scan quickly. 

  Looking for some way to have these potential future straights presented all on one page. Straights that have not hit in 12 mos,18 mo.s etc. and the never hit before straights  as well.

 A page that might color code Straights from say 2002 as blue and 2001 as green and 2000 red......1999 and before magenta.

  Perhaps the color codes are too much to ask.

 Maybe the 1000 number chart on one page with all the hits high-lighted under each of the 10 columns......leaving you with only the few that are left to ponder.........and the ones that are ......say older than 12 to 18 months coded a different way.  

 Each of the 10 columns in the 1000 number chart will average 36 straights per year under each column. This leaves us with only about 64 potential straights to look at the beginning of each year.

 If we go back further to 18 months......we can subtract another 180 straights or 18 per column.......total 54 Straights we can subtract from all 10 columns(average).

Butttttt Win d  you say ...what about those comeback straights? Well ....sorry you will justbox again .....like you do 5 out of 6 times you hit now.   One thing we know ......its fewer than 10% in less than a year on these comebacks and that holds true almost out to 18 months. We take the risk.  It's not the only tool we will use...right.   

  Any thoughts ???????

    I like the idea  WIN D.

    I did this for Pennsylvania Pick 3.

    I combined Midday and Evening.

    I collected the entire history in Excel.

    I have all 1000 numbers and the last date they hit.

    I then run a data sort by date to see what number is the longest out.  I have some numbers that are out years.

    I'll send you my list if interested!!

        I went a little further with your idea Win D.

        I sorted the entire history by Root Sum

        For those interested in Root Sum:

        1. Add your 3 digit number together eg 3-5-4 = 12 Sum

        000 = sum of 0 (lowest sum or root sum of 0)

        999 = sum of 27 (highest sum or root sum of 7)

        2. Use only the last digit of the sum which would be 2

            Sum to Root Sum Chart

        0 = 0

        1 = 1

        2 = 2

        3 = 3

        4 = 4

        5 = 5

        6 = 6

        7 = 7

        8 = 8

        9 = 9

        10 = 0

        11 = 1

        12 = 2

        13 = 3

        14 = 4

        15 = 5

        16 = 6

        17 = 7

        18 = 8

        19 = 9

        20 = 0

        21 = 1

        22 = 2

        23 = 3

        24 = 4

        25 = 4

        26 = 6

        27 = 7

        There are only 10 Root Sums compared to 27

        Each Root sum has  corresponding Sums:

        0 = Root sum 0 - 10 - 20

        1 =   "      "   1 - 11 - 21

        2 =   "       "   2 - 12 - 22

        3 =   "      "    3 - 13 - 23

        4 =  "      "    4 - 14 - 24

        5 =  "    "     5 - 15 - 25

        6 =  "    "      6 - 16 - 26

        7 =  "    "      7 - 17 - 27

        8 =  "     "      8  -  18       

        9 = "      "      9 -  19

        Each Root sum has 1 triple combination, 9 double combinations (3way) and 12 Non Double Combination (eg 123).

        The key here is if you believe in trends is to track Root Sums and develop a hit and miss chart on past draws or to play the root sum that is hot.

        After Win D had posted this idea I wanted to try it out starting Wednesday midday in Pennsylvania to see if it works.

        I now have all my combinations sorted by Root Sum.

        In each of my Root Sum lists (10 Total), I have all of my combinations:

        For Example:

        In my Root Sum List #8 

        Number    Sum    Root Sum    Date Last Hit   Total Hits

        710             8              8              7/6/2001            7 

        017            8              8               2/18/2003          7

        071            8              8              4/30/2003           16

        170            8              8              5/30/2003            7

        I then highlight all the hits for 2003.

        Today I am playing Root 8 list for Midday straight and box:

        710  602  350  512  341  891 927  369  378  549  765  468

        008  404  909  611  224  323  882  558  747

        666 (straight only)

        Root Sum 8 is out 4 draws (or days).

        Root Sum 8 repeated when at 4 days repeated 4 times since May 8th 2003.

        I combine midday and evening. 

        Let's see what happens!!

          I am not good with odds, correct me if I'm wrong.

          I have 10 Root Sum lists and I am playing 1 out of 10 does this give me 10 to 1 odds??

          If anyone has any comments, suggestions or ideas.

          If anyone would like the Excel File with the Root Sums lists email me and I will send it out.

          All you would need to do is Sort your Pick 3 history in Excel by Root Sum and just enter your dates.

                  Previous 2 posts show example taken from Root Sum 8 listing.

                  The 6-way combination of 017 when each number last hit, the number of drawings out, total hits for each combination and 61 total hits for all 6 numbers.

                  The previous post is a sample from the Root Sum #8 History.

                  I played Root Sum #8 for Pennsylvania Miiday Oct 22.

                  Notic on the bottom "4" meaning that Root Sum 8 is at 4 draws (3 plus the Midday - does not include the draw). It is easier to see from past draws how many drawings have hit at "4".

                  Notice it hit 2 times before 10/4/2003 and 7/15/2003.

                  Hopefully "4" will be kind!!

                      I like the 170 combo myself, but for far less technical reasons.



                      It fell twice back-2-back last October.



                      We'll see, I'm trying to keep my methods for tracking numbers simple. I have not hit in the last 2 months "over-calculating".

                               That was great Steve. 

                                  I would sure try to separate the 2 draws however.....tooooo many reasons to list.....as far as trapping Straights that is... 

                                  Number one reason...... is that it slants all the math averages I have become sooooo use to over the years. LOL

                                  The other reason ......it forces you to play both games 

                                  Maybe just me .....but I don't track eve. as much as Midday...I think a person loses their feel on both ...if you do
