sorry billy.  the least that i could do is buy you a new "pair" .

but be forewarned.  i am only gathering steam on my way to the mutha "lump".

once my "truck" arrives (which i will need to carry around my "jack"),  i will be outa here and you will have to entertain the masses.  say billy.  you wouldn't have any experience shooting thru small holes while peeking out of the window of a truck would you?  i am going to need someone to ride "shotgun".     yeeeeeeeeeandahaaaaaaaaaaaw

Just so  those that want to know are kept informed, I got my "dear john" letter from the foundation.

Blah, Blah, Blah ---  so far over 4mil given to WV residents( I am not one)

I just wanted to see if it was for real. Maybe it is, but then again, maybe it is a scam.....

nothing ventured, nothing gained...just like buying lottery tix.

hmm, maybe THIS cover letter will get a better response..

            Dear Mr. Whittaker...

I do not need your money, I just WANT it... I envision a chain of Strip Club/Casinos all over West Virginia and would like to use your funds to set it all up... Lockers will be provided for things such as wallets, briefcases of cash and cashier's checks...  cots will be provided to "sleep it off", and, of course, powerball tix will be on sale. As an added bonus, you would get free admission for life ;-)

            or this one...

            Dear Jack,

I am being held in political exile in the state of pennsylvania and have a LARGE sum of money that I need to transfer to you, please send your bank account number to...

            might just work...

I bet half the letters Jack's foundation got started out similarly which explain the high rejection rates, but as said earlier nothing ventured nothing gained or lost.  Jack probably liked his money as much those who wanted it for themselves.

the "foundation" was most likely a publicity stunt/tax writeoff.

He didn't have to give anything away, but if his heart was in the right place, he could have given quietly (and he would have been home with his wife instead of getting drugged in a strip club).

Only in America could hundreds of thousands of hard working people get sold out thru offshore "outsourcing" and be forcibly ripped from the middle class to the lower class (DD I feel for ya, my good job went to mexico and my resources have dwindled considerably over the last 2 or 3 years) while "Jack", an already rich man, could win such a big jackpot... only goes to strengthem the argument that the lottery is truly random, or you get better odds by buying 100 QPs (OR that the government is in kahoots with big business to wipe out the middle class and just have ultra rich and poor...) time will tell.

If he's giving it away, there's no shame in asking, right?

That's what I thought...and indeed did ask, and had what I think was a good story to tell. Unfortunately for me I'm not a West Virginian or else maybe I could have gotten a little bit of cake.

I appreciate the support from ( most ) everyone.

I'll keep on playing the lottery every day and keep on dreamin' of the big one....

I didn't hit the JW foundation lotto....maybe I'll hit the Mega Millions.

If I do, one thing's for sure.....I won't be caught at a strip bar and I damn sure won't carry that much cake around.....

Until next time....deal em !! and If I get a face card or ace... I will DOUBLE DOWN !!

I was stupid and wrote to Mr. Whittaker's Foundation.  My family is from West Virginia, I have MS and needed help.  I took a chance and downloaded his form that he required for his foundation.

About 3 months later I received the same letter, they had given over 4 million away and could not give anymore.

I think that he was tired of getting so many letters he dropped his website.

My cause is listed at www.fundafriend.com and at the top is a space for a jumpword, Keeping the Faith.  This non profit group verifies every person, they called my doctors and checked my medical info.  I didn't really count on this man to help, he seems to want to help his immediate family and friends and I don't blame him.

It is sad however that someone with that kind of money could not help.  I had only requested $175,000 and even made an offer to give him my home upon my death so the foundation would actually get the money back, but his answer was the standard form letter that said no.

I am glad he won.  I do not play the lottery.  I cannot imagine winning.  I am a winner, I have Christ our Lord and Savior and really, if you look at the big picture, that is all you need.  God Bless and Happy Holidays

                           KATHY,  CONSIDER YOURSELF PRAYED FOR...

although it must have been somewhat of a letdown that MR. whittaker couldn't come through for you,  i would like to explain that it must be a tremendous burden placed on the shoulders of someone who has won that kind of money.  fortuntely i know that it is not up to MR. whittaker to "right all the wrongs" (so to speak) in life.  what is up to him provided he is a responsible steward of a gift like that, is for him to listen to Gods leading and dispense in kind.

fortuntely from the levity of your post,  you probably deep down inside understand this as a child of God.  albeit i would hope for your own spiritual well being that your hope lies in Christ and not in "man".  he promised that he would meet all your needs (not "some").  and while i serve to remind you of the promise(s) that God has for you, i still am sensitive to your plight.  as someone who has physical limitations myself, i know first hand how God takes care of his own.  no amount of money will change my inner peace.  if you work from there and move forward, anything else that comes your way is an added benefit.

btw,  if you don't play the lottery, how did you find your way to here?

Thank you for your email.  I don't know how I found this site, I know that sounds strange, but my MS causes me sleepless nights and this computer is like a pacifier...LOL  I had read something on the posts about a woman who had received a letter and was turned down and I wanted to first let her know that she was not alone, second, well, there is no second.....

God leads us down many paths, I found you, Vision and that shows that Our Loving Father is everywhere, maybe together we have touched some lives, your prayer and reminder "I will never leave you nor will I forsake you."  Hebrews 13:5

I have the normal items that go with MS and myoclonous, these are two diseases I face and the Lord has blessed my mind, I am still able to function mentally, so the brain is still communicating with the knee bone, etc. LOL

I hope my post did not sound negative, it wasn't meant to, but I wanted people to know that did file the request form that was required on his website was one and the same and not to feel as though he didn't want to help "them".

I follow the Holy Spirit and whether I go I know that whoever I meet along the way is not by chance, I have met you and I appreciate your prayer, because we know that God will meet our needs in His time and according to His will.

You have made me feel so good by praying for me and writing.  You will be in my prayers and if this gets posted, which I don't understand whether that will happen or not and others read this, I want them to know that there is victory in believing that Jesus is our Lord and Savior and only through Him can we enter the kingdom of Heaven.  God Bless You and thank you....Kathy
