the supreme court president does not deserve any praise.the soldiers do.

Bush should have gone looking  for bin laden, who was the one that killed americans in n.y./pa, and  not saddam. if bush  was sincerely concerned about the people in irak ,he should have asked the international justice to handle saddam.  the american people is paying for "bush war "with the young soldiers lives and taxes, his friends(some corporations) are  profiting it.

to all - let's agree to disagree pleasantly. we are all entitled to our opinions. nobody is wrong and nobody is right. politics brings out heated feeling. thank god for free speech.

is that the same international justice that let millions die in Rhawanda and Serbia. Yeah thats what we need more deaths on the hands of the U.N.  No thanks. No one knew what saddam was hiding because of his contant and deliberate ignoring of u.n. mandates that france, germany, russia and china let keep sliding. when bush called them on enforcing the un mandates it proved what a half-assed body the u.n. really is.  The point isnt whether iraq had wmd but that they couldnt and wouldnt show the world that they had them or not.

Its too bad that some people hate gwb so much that they would risk the security of the u.s. i could say that he's done somethings right and several really stupid things but taking action against iraq would not be one of them. i think that the people who hate bush keep forgetting that there is a large group of people that want to kill americans and dont care if you are a republican or a democrat.

For almost 60 years we all watched the movies of planes flying into ships in WW11

(12-7,1941) then on 9-11,2001 we watched them fly in to buildings!  Wit the help of TV!

You Bush haters all bring up totally irrelevant points as soon as your logic disintegrates.  dvdiva: you are absolutely correct.  Bush haters: you're not.

Bringing up Bush's father?  That's just wacky.  He has nothing to do with the discussion, and that's just another tactic of those who can't win an argument.

Bringing up 9/11?  Same thing; we were talking about capturing Saddam.

todd - those that disagree with bush are not bush haters. in a democracy disagreement is healthy. it keeps our gov't more honest.

The "disagreement" in democracy is fine, but the liberals have distorted that concept in recent times.  It is a time of war against terrorism.  They have taken "disagreement" to the point where our enemies think that we are not united against them.  This emboldens our enemies, leading to increased violence, which leads to more of our troops being in harm's way.

The decision to go to war - whether you agree with it or not - has been made.  All Americans need to rally behind our President now, instead of trying to stab him in the back.  His plan is coming together, and more support from the "rest" of the country would help them come together sooner.

Any logical person can see this.  In my experience, most people who come out strongly against the war (and Bush) are Bush haters, because otherwise they would be backing our country in this time of war.

Saddam Hussein is a Hitler of our time.  He committed genocide, just like Hitler.  Saddam threatened world security through his ties to terrorism.  (These direct ties are becoming more and more clear every day.  There is documented proof.)

Can you imagine how WWII would have gone if USA citizens used their power of "disagreement" to do what they're doing today?  How much would it have emboldened the enemy?  How much more difficult would the war have been?  How many more lives would have been lost?

If you would attempt to let your logical side take control, you'll see I'm right.  If it helps you, imagine Bill Clinton is still President, and he sent our troops into battle.

You still haven't displayed a shred of logic.  I didn't say you weren't grapsing it, I said you keep skirting the issue.  How about some facts for a change?  In my opinion, conservatives do a good job of arguing with facts, while liberals use emotion.
