  With Mega Millions reaching $100m (no jackpot winner since before Texas joined), Maine runs the only US lottery which has yet to offer a $100m prize.

  If they already have a lottery it shouldn't be long before powerball is in Maine probably by 2005 if the state gets their legislature going on the bill to pass the multi-state game.

  Maine has had a lottery for many years...in fact, they _were_ a MUSL member (remember Lotto*America?) but dropped out when PB started in 1992. However, their Governor strongly opposes PB.

  It sounds like Maine needs to get with the times and offer the powerball to its lottery customers because I bet they have a lot of unhappy players that have to play their state lottery.  Their missing out on the big jackpots of Powerball.
