  You know how people always speculate how many winners there might be if the Powerball or Mega Million ever drew 7, 14, 21, 28, 35 and a PB or MB of 42?

  Well you can get an idea based on last night's PA Cash 5 where the winning numbers were 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25.

  There were 242 winners!

  (I know this was posted in the Pick 5 forum as well, but I'm amazed that this happened and wanted to open it up for discussion here).

  Well I can't believe that came out or that people have been playing it for years, but it does show why you might want to play all the combinations in your wheel.  Odds are good many players at least made their investment back even if they did go to sleep with suger plums dancing in their heads.  BobP

  Those 242 people are $439 richer but this is a good example of why not to play combinations like that. For one that is a very unlikely combination of numbers and most importantly people come up with really quirky combinations of numbers and they all seem to think alike and come up with the same set of numbers and then have to share the jackpot with 241 other people. I would hate to have lightening strike and match the winning numbers and get a fraction of what I otherwise would have gotten by playing number combinations that a lot of other people might play.
