Hi Dollie,
Twice I turned down a hit by not taking that wrong ticket. I once asked for a number when I first starting playing , it was 1022 and the agent gave me 1023, and said no I want 1022. Guess what 1023 came out. The next time I turned down a straight hit in pick 4, I asked 1053 boxed and he also gave me 1053 straight, I said no I only want it boxed, guess what 1053 came out straight. I got it boxed but for 50 cents more I could have had $2, 500.00.
Since then I never turned down that wrong ticket, I will take it and also play that number (s) requested. If it's only going to cost another $1.00 or two, take that wrong ticket.
Another thing is to always check your tickets before leaving the counter. Several times I walked away without checking, and I was given tickets for number (s) other then what I asked for. Also, on a number of occasions I was given a ticket boxed only when I also asked for it straight and the number came out straight. Don't feel that those guys or ladies don't make mistakes. Always check your tickets before leaving the counter .
I think this has happen to all of us.
Phyllis
