I picked should be...here's why:
In 2000, I was playing Super 6 in PA and I picked my own numbers.
I picked: 05-09-20-24-34-44
The winning numbers were: 05-09-20-24-37-47
If I had just picked 37 and 47 or if the balls 34 and 44 had come out I would have had $14 Million.
Oh well, as VDude would say, you are either meant to win or you're not. And I wasn't meant to win on that day.

A very simular situation happened to me years ago in the NY Lottery. I had my play cards filled out ready to play. Some of my friends deceided to throw a Birthday party for me that weekend, I got tied up with that, forgot to play my cards. Checked the Sunday Paper the next morning... I had all six of the #'s. No winner, and the pot was 18M.
True story...

update:
Since my last post...yes, this evening, I just read an article in the local newspaper that someone from the area close to where I live recently drove to Madison to claim a $100,000 Powerball Win. The article stated that after taxes the person will collect about $67,000. This amount seems quite high. I suspect that more taxes will be owed later. We live in a rural area. This is the first I've heard about this news story. The winning ticket, was purchased at a local gas/convience store that I drive past on a regular basis. I don't want to make too much of this dvent, but it's big news here!
