  If I had all the money I would ever need for my family and was independently wealthy I would spend money on cures for debilitating diseases or donate money to the children with terminal illness like Make a Wish Foundation. My wife says to render unto Caesar what is owed and render unto God what is his. She says what you sow so shall you reap. On more than one occasion when I helped a homeless person by giving some money to them I have hit the lottery within a few days of that. Maybe I should give more often.

  Here's a sobering thought for you. Ask your local Priest/Minister/Imam/Rabi etc and I think he will confirm that if you live to a fairly ripe age the chances are you will be buried with a very small number of people in attendance and while there's no law against you being buried with your  cash money (there is for cremation) you might as well give it away to whom you want rather than let the government seize it.

  When I give money to someone, even a friend or a relative, giving has to be it own reward because it gone and I will never see it again.

  I would take care of myself FIRST, then immediate family members.  After that, it would be a crap shoot if anyone else got any money from my winnings.

  If I won $10 mill plus the first thing I would do is set up a family trust and use the trust to buy assets which any family member can use/live in for free but never actually own. This would insure future generations would also benefit.

  Personally, I think people should have a lottery game plan BEFORE anticipating winning. I have created "what-if" scenarios.

  What if I win $100,000 or more -- well, I certainly will have to continue working, but at least my credit cards will be paid off (approximately $14,000), and I could purchase the car of my dreams (nothing extravagant).

  What if I win "the big-one?" Definitely, I could afford not to work: volunteer my services, travel, and just be a lady of leisure. Since I do not smoke, drink, party hearty, take drugs, or date anyone who does, my money would last me until the day I die. Why?  I do not have a husband (do not want one), I do not have children (I do not want any), I do not have any brothers or sisters, and my parents are deceased. Therefore, I do not have to support anyone or anyone's habit.

  Finally, there is a saying that goes: "money marries money."  In fact, this is why the wealthy keep their wealth, and the poor lose their wealth. Do not date or marry anyone who does not have your economic interest at heart.

  In terms of dating or marrying someone, it's not the amount of money that they have that's important. It's what they do with whatever money they have. In my opinion, a rich fool is just a poor fool waiting to happen. And a poor fool that wins the lottery will be rich, but will still be a fool. Having, or coming into money does not turn a person into a better person. In fact, coming into a great deal of money will only magnify whatever character traits are already present. I would much rather be married to a woman of good character that makes 25, 000.00 a year than to a stupid millionaire.
