My mother seems to think the mega millions and powerball lotteries are fixed.she thinks that the lottery officials know what balls are going to drop because they out weigh the other balls that don't drop and where the ticket will be and who the people are that will have the winning ticket she thinks this is all set up before the numbers are announced. i was talking to her yesterday about the on ticket win and she thinks that with a record number of people who played in that 290 million lottery it is impossible for just one person to have mysterously gotten all the numbers right and no one else got them. she also siad that isn't it strange that every time the lottery is this large the winning ticket is always in some small town in a state that no one has ever heard of. she has got me thinking she may be on to something. does anyone else think these two lotteries mega millions and biggame are fixed.
Dont know. I mean there are 80,089,128 possible combinations so it is possible for millions upon millions of people to buy tickets with no winners. Think of how many people buy 5-10 dollars worth of tickets? A friend of mine one year bought $500 worth of powerball tickets for a drawing that was over $200 million. out of 500 tickets the most he was able to match was 3 numbers and a powerball on one of the tickets. So imagine the millions of people who buy only ten dollars worth. To me there's nothing that increases your odds unless you bought 80 million tickets but it would be impossible to purchase that many at one time or even over the course of days.
If these lottery officials know what numbers are going to drop and where then the must have a reason to weigh the balls that they do and must have some kind of relationship with the person who magically bought the winning ticket. Just doesnt sound logical to me.
