Are there lottery secrets yet to be discovered or just things you haven't read about yet?

Do you worry you will accidently give away the secret of winning lotteries before winning yourself?

Do you worry someone else will learn the secret and the lotteries will be closed down?

There are no secrets. It's about as simple as it gets. We're all just making it real complicated here. But that is our fault. It's quite simple. Random picks of large permutations.

Perhaps looking at it the same way over and over (it's all been done before) isn't the answer. Maybe, just maybe, if it were looked at a new way........ That's my goal.

Personally I'd like to think there are still some ways of working the numbers no one has come up with yet, a way to take the measure of a particular lottery and tailor predictions to suit its nature. BobP

I have done a lot of research into Bayesian Inference. I firmly believe that this is where our efforts should be focused. It is the basis for my new system btw, but even it cannot guarantee the winning number every single drawing. Over the course of a few days, perhaps.
It's funny that the algorithms seem to produce a random set of numbers to play even though they follow a strict set of rules, and no its not a random number generator either. It is more, much more than that. It is all the bits of my knowledge working together in harmony.
Of course I worry that the Pick-3, or any lottery for that matter, will cease to exist when, not if, I find the last bit of the puzzle. Maybe the world would be a better place without lotteries. I don't know, it's too philosophical for me at the moment.
Heck, I don't even do this stuff for the money I can win. I do it for the science. LP provides a controlled, laboratory-like environment for me to test my theories. I'm sure that time will provide the answers I need to complete my opus.

I think that the lottery companies know the numbers before they are drawn, an example of this was a few years back when the bbc sacked a presenter because she said she had seen the numbers for that week and obviously they wouldnt want that to get out. of course it was all hushed up and most people never took any notice. btw. that was for the uk 6/49.

Microsoft has done some work with bayesian networks... I couldn't follow the whitepaper though... I hate trudging through texts that make me feel like a complete idiot... In complex math, that's most of 'em :-(

I think one "secret" that impresses me is the fact that they (the Lottery Companies) know which numbers are being picked and quick-picked for each and every draw. For me, the "secret" lies in what they (the Lottery Companies) do with this information. Do they just "file it away" and ignore it? Do they use it to influence the winning numbers? Hmmmmmm. If I were running the Lottery, knowing what number combinations were already "taken" would be a big temptation for me to "ensure" that my Lottery sales meet or exceeded my jackpot & other payouts as well as expenses.........

I know that all lotteries are suppose to be random, but they do have unique random dvents once in a while and that's what the system players are looking to exploit with their strategy. Lotteries run tests all the time to insure that no such dvent is happening. I doubt if anyone ever discovered such a unique reoccurring dvent that they would share their knowledge before they had a chance to exploit it fully and once it was exposed it would be eliminated.
For example some years back, Ohio had a random drawing for players that sent in their losing tickets. The reoccurring unique dvent was that they picked the winning envelopes from the top of the mail bags and postal workers at the local post office knowing that managed to win a high percentage of the prizes. I would think that now mail bags are dumped before picking a winner in a similar type drawing.
I search the data bases of all the lotteries that I play looking for such dvents and have never found one that would be worth the money to cover until it happens again. For example in PowerBall, I know the bonus ball will be one of 42 every drawing, it cost $42 to cover that dvent and I'll win $3 and it not worth the cost, but if I could find a unique dvent that the 42 combinations would also cover that have generated a match 5 two or more times a year in the pass, it might be worth the cost.
