What's the most you've spent on one draw? And what determines this choice? Do you spend more for a jackpot of $300million than you would for a $40million?

When the Powerball Jackpot got up to $214.9 Million or so last Christmas, I spent $40.00 worth of tickets.

    $10.00  = My picks

    $30.00  = Quick Picks

    $40.00  = Amount Spent

    $0.00 won............Priceless!!!!.....

I didn't mind the money spent because I had just gotten a sizable Year-end Bonus and wanted to take a stab at retiring at 35 years of age.   But if I had it to do...... all over again.....I would only switch how I spent the money........... $30.00 on my picks and only $10.00 on quick picks.

Once in a pool we spent $200.00.

We won enough for a case of beer. 8 people in the pool, 3 beers each. A little over $66 a beer.

         The beer was good!

I only spend a couple of dollars when buying tickets for just myself. I have been in office pools that have spend as much as $2,000 on a single draw. My share has been as high as $250 in an office pool. These have been rare occasions when there was a good buying opportunity. I define a good opportunity when the expected value of a ticket is close to or greater than the cost of the ticket. A good example is the current Oregan Lottery.

                Good luck,

I spend $1.00. Maybe $2.00 when the jackpot gets really high. I think I may have spent $3.00 when the jackpot was over 300 million. With the odds at 120 million to 1, even 1000 tickets doesn't raise your odds very much.

Okay, now I believe you can predict lottery numbers

$10 is the most I've ever spent, when either PB or MM is over 200 million

The most I have ever spent was the last time Michigan had a WinFall.  The odds of matching three are 1 in 53.  The prize I believe was almost $50.  I had 3 $20 bills on me so I plopped those down.  Unfortunately the odds didn't work in my favor that time and I didn't win squat.  But I didn't care.  It was fun and about $21 went to public schools in Michigan.  I matched three of six and four of six on the same drawing back in January for almost $1000.  And I only spent $20 that time.  humppp.  haha

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

i must say that it took me a while to realize that just because you buy a lot doesn't mean you are gonna win-i spend 4 bucks now usually on powerball.......
