Leaf cleanup time

My old leaf blower on off switch kept malfunctioning plus it was a corded one.

Purchased a new battery operated blower which is more compact and lighter than the old one. Now I do not have to drag a cord around.

Blower came with only one battery so will need to blow leaves for awhile. Then bag those while battery is charging.

Get the front yard done shortly and then have until next spring to get the bakyard done which has more leaves.

Going out today and bag some front yard leaves which I have piled. Maybe. See if I feel enough energy and in the leaf bagging mood.

Do not want to over exert myself.

Put the coat of sand paint on the ramp yesterday

Got up enough energy to go out and git-r-done yesterday.

Poured out enough kilz primer to coat the platform and added the sand to the grit count I wanted. Mixed that up with the electric drill and paint mixer paddle attached. Rolled and brushed it on constantly mixing the sand paint in the roller pan as the sand settles quickly.

Went out this afternoon to see if it was dry. Yep, it was dry so I done a walk test to see how the grip worked. Works great, grabbed the soles of my shoes just fine. Done a drag my shoe test and it gripped the soles of my shoes. 

This afternoon I just ordered a 2x2 inch by 4 foot tall flanged post with cap to be used on the flat landing outside corner. Anyone who wants to step off the 3 inch high landing can grab the corner post for balance.  That will be delivered Dec 1st. I will lag bolt that in place when it arrives. That cost about $37.00.

    The House version of the Thomas Massie ‘pay attention to me bill’ telling the DOJ to release the information about Jeffrey Epstein, unless it contains material related to national security of investigations, has now passed the Senate by unanimous consent and will now head to President Trump’s desk for his signature.

    Trump will sign it, the Epstein ‘shiny thing’ law will go into effect, and the politicians will continue arguing about it and trying to attack the White House because they put the perpetual argument component into THE BILL:

    The bill is only six pages. I suggest you read it.

    As you can see from the highlighted qualifiers above, those of you who enjoy the bread and circus distractions provided by the DC UniParty apparatus, will have at least another year to follow this story.  Have fun with it.

    Meanwhile, Congress cannot find time to codify any executive orders that might save taxpayer money, secure the border, protect elections, tighten up immigration laws or expel criminal aliens….

    …. But thanks to Ron DeSantis’s biggest supporter, Thomas Massie, you’ll always have Epstein.

UHH OHHH

About a week ago I spilled some juice on my keyboard. Got a few keys hard to press down and some get stuck.

Looks like a new keyboard for my shopping list.

Finished building handicap ramp

Installed the bump rails for the wheeled walkers to bump against. Installed the hand rail on one side from porch to landing. Primed those with exterior primer before setting in place. Going to leave it primed. no finsh paint. Just wanted it painted to shed water.

Still need to put on the coat of sand paint to give footing extra grip. Plan on doing that tomorrow. 

Taking like forever to get this done. Took ten days off to heal some wounds on my legs where the hide tore off. All mostly healed up now where I was able to get out and finish the job.

Thin skinned from old age.

Have to give serious thought before doing other projects.

S. C. pick 4 [what happen on tonights draw]

What happen
with 16 groups of numbers there is bound to be
a reapeat or reapeats in that time frame. can not 
go any longer than 16 draws without a group reapeating.
Tonights draw was from the 1211 group which was drawn
on Nov 8 & Oct 31. By the luck of the draw the 1255 filter 
was drawn those 3 times 2515,5521 & 5125.

Look at previous blog entry and you will see what filters are 
in each group.

There are 35 filters spread thru out the groups
