Where are the Butterfly's?

I remember as a kid growing in the suburbs of NYC in Queens, I used to see butterflies all over the place.  All different colors, so beautiful to watch in the summer.  Waking up early to go outside to watch them and catch them and awe at them.  I moved upstate in my adult years, and noticed there weren't many there.  I found that strange.  I havent seen a butterfly in decades!

Fast forward about 50 years from my childhood back in my hometown in NYC, I saw 3 butterflies the other day.  A blue one, an orange one and a white one.  It made my heart sing, like the way it made me feel when I was a kid seeing them.  I watched them in awe as I did as a child, fluttering around until they fluttered away into the sunset.

Seeing those butterflies made me think, there is always hope to see something so simple and beautiful.  It reminds me to never give up hope on your dreams.  While your hopes may be stored away deeply, there's always a sign, that dreams are not forgotten.  Seeing those butterflies is my sign of the butterfly effect, that a simple flap of their wings, will make a change for something big.  Just hold out and never give up hope

Finally! Jackpocket is almost back!

Jackpocket is a mobile app that lets you buy your lottery tickets within the app.  They will then scan your tickets and email a copy to you.  This makes beating the cutoff time a lot easier than standing in line going to the store.

Power in Numbers

I've always been fascinated by numbers.  Just an innate thing within me.  I have no idea why.  Ever since I can remember, I've had a thing where I can remember long strings of numbers. IP addresses, credit card numbers, phone numbers, MAC addresses, serial numbers, you name it. A few moments of staring at a number with a few short recitals and I have it down pat. Weird.

For many years I've wondered how knowing I had this ability would serve me in some way. I had no idea what I could do to utilize this talent I had. All I knew is that I could do it.

I play the lottery as a hobby. I've been drawn to the Pick 10 New York game.  Strange some say, because the game has an 80 number field, trying to figure out just enough numbers to win a prize is challenging enough. Its a game where the numbers to choose from range from 1-80, the amount of numbers drawn is 20, and you need 10 to win the jackpot.  Sounds easy right? HA! Some would say, if its that easy everybody would be doing it.

Well, I for one am glad not everybody is doing.  I like those odds.  I also like that if you win a jackpot, your name, age, rank, serial number, and eye color aren't media headlines.  I also like that I've found a way to narrow the playing field within such a huge playing field.  In a way that works for me.  Kinda my own personal way of analysis.

So although, I haven't figured out exactly how to use the memory of numbers to help me in winning a jackpot in Pick 10, just the fact that I'm drawn to numbers in some way that's thought provoking, and exciting when I learn something new in a pattern is good enough for me. That's power in numbers.
