Pat Robertson: God Put Trump In Power
God will give you what you ask for. Whether it’s good or bad. The Israelites had a similar problem. When Samuel became too old to judge his people, he appointed his sons. They were nothing like their father. They used their position to make a profit, took bribes, and offered the people perverted judgment. The people rejected them. Instead of asking for another prophet, they began crying out to Samuel for a king like the other nations. Samuel took their complaints to GOD. GOD told Samuel to tell them what I said a king will do to them. Samuel did as GOD commanded. He ended his saying by telling the Israelites you will cry out in that day because of the king you have chosen, and GOD will not hear you. But the people still wanted a king to rule over them. Samuel went back to GOD and told Him what the people wanted. God told Samuel to give them a king and send them to their city. Just as GOD gives out blessings, He will give out curses for those that ask for them. Trump is not a blessing. The American people asked for him and they got him. Just as the Israelites were punished for asking for a king, sadly the same fate awaits those that chose Trump.
This is my paraphrasing of 1 Samuel 8.
