Of course, I used the capitol dome to represent the country while fully realizing that the government is NOT the country. However, shutting down the government due to illegal immigration may not be the complete story. I suspect the Democrats are also trying to deflect from the FISA abuse memo, which leads to ObamaGate, a sordid tale of corruption far worse and widespread than Watergate. ..."

California to register illegal aliens to vote – automatically
"WASHINGTON – California will take the next step in blurring the lines between citizens and non-citizens beginning April Fool’s Day when the state complies with a court order to begin automatically registering to vote all those who are granted driver’s licenses.
The state has long provided driver’s licenses to all who simply claimed, without proof, that they were citizens of in the country legally. There were no checks made or documentation required.
But beginning April 1 every person who gets a California driver’s license will be automatically entitled to vote.
“We are very pleased that Californians will have easier access to voter registration,” said Jeremiah Levine, an attorney with Morrison Foerster who represented the voting-rights groups. “We are especially satisfied that changes will be made before California’s statewide and federal primary elections.”

"The first full day of the January 2018 government shutdown saw a spate of hurried but ultimately fruitless negotiations, and already the White House - which has been accused of exacerbating the problem by constantly shifting its negotiating position - has had enough: In a tweet this morning, President Donald Trump said Republicans should consider invoking “the nuclear option” to eliminate the possibility of an opposition fillibuster - allowing Republicans to pass a long-term spending bill with a simple majority (there are 51 Republican senators).
Right now, the Senate can approve presidential nominees for the courts and executive branch departments with a simple majority, but traditional legislation is still subject to a fillibuster that requires 60 votes to overcome.
Kicking off an early morning flurry of tweetstorm, Trump congratulated Republicans in Congress: "Great to see how hard Republicans are fighting for our Military and Safety at the Border. The Dems just want illegal immigrants to pour into our nation unchecked. If stalemate continues, Republicans should go to 51% (Nuclear Option) and vote on real, long term budget, no C.R.’s!"
