Congressman Introduces Law To Jail Politicians Who Protect Illegals
"A GOP congressman introduced legislation that could jail public officials in sanctuary cities.
Washington, DC – A Republican congressman announced legislation Monday that would impose huge fines and jail time on public officials who ignore federal immigration laws.
Rep. Todd Rokita (R-Ind.) unveiled the Stopping Lawless Actions of Politicians (SLAP) Act on Monday, which targets sanctuary cities, which shelter undocumented immigrants or don't cooperate with federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Indianapolis Star reported.
"Americans are dying because politicians sworn to uphold the law refuse to do so,” Rokita said.
Under Rokita's SLAP Act, violators could face up to five years of prison time, and a fine of up to $1 million. ....."

DOJ Is Skipping The 9th Circuit And Appealing DACA Reinstatement Straight To SCOTUS

"The Department of Justice will appeal directly to the Supreme Court after a federal judge in California ordered the Trump administration to maintain the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, an Obama-era amnesty policy that extends legal status to 800,000 illegal aliens who arrived in the U.S. as children.
The department will bypass the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which has jurisdiction in the case, and appeal directly to the high court, a rare procedural move.
“It defies both law and common sense for DACA — an entirely discretionary non-enforcement policy that was implemented unilaterally by the last administration after Congress rejected similar legislative proposals and courts invalidating the similar DAPA policy — to somehow be mandated nationwide by a single district court in San Francisco,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a statement announcing the appeal. ...."

White House doctor: Trump scored 30 out of 30 on a cognitive exam he requested
"President Trump insisted on taking a cognitive assessment exam as part of his annual physical last week, and scored a 30/30 on the test, confirming his doctor's belief that he does not show any signs of mental deterioration.
"I had no concerns about the president's cognitive ability," Dr. Ronny Jackson, Trump's in-house doctor who oversaw his physical exam at Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., last week, told reporters on Tuesday.
Jackson said Trump nevertheless requested that he undergo a neurological exam, presumably to combat heightened speculation among his critics about his fitness for office and overall mental health. He said it's the first time any president took this kind of test, as far as he knows.
"He mentally is very sharp, very tact," Jackson told reporters, noting that Trump scored 30 out of of 30 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a test that can help detect mild cognitive impairment or Alzheimer's disease. ...."

President Trump is perhaps at the point where he should take similar measures to prevent Democrats (and perhaps some Republicans) from lying about his conversations with him."
