Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem have always kept their romance under the radar – and their intimate wedding was equally low-profile.

Cruz, 36, and Javier Bardem, 41, exchanged vows in front of family members during a small, private ceremony held at a friend’s home in the Bahamas earlier this month, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The bride wore a gown designed by designer John Galliano, a longtime friend of the actress.

The Spanish lovebirds, who are both Oscar winners, started dating in 2007 but have famously kept their relationship out of the public eye. Last year rumors surfaced that the couple had gotten engaged, but they would not comment.

When once asked about Bardem, Cruz refused to confirm whether they were even dating, but couldn't hold back her admiration, saying, "He's a friend and the best actor in the world."

Bardem won an Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role as a killer in 2007's No Country for Old Men. Cruz took home an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for the 2008 Woody Allen comedy, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which also starred Bardem.

The couple first met while filming Jamon, Jamon in 1992, one of Cruz's first films.

Cavalier Fans offer to help owner pay fine

Updated: July 13, 2010, 7:17 PM ET

Cavs fans back owner on LeBron letter

Associated Press

CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert has more fans and friends than he ever knew.

His emotional, controversial letter criticizing LeBron James for leaving to join Miami spawned an outpouring of fan support for Gilbert. A team spokesman said the team has received thousands of e-mails and phone calls, including some from fans offering to help Gilbert pay a $100,000 NBA-imposed fine.

“ The humbling offer by so many is another reflection of the strength of Cavs fans and the people who live and work in this region and are always the first to step up and have each other's back. ”

-- Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert --

Last week, Gilbert fired off his incendiary letter, ripping James' decision as "a shameful display of selfishness and betrayal." He called the MVP "narcissistic" and "self-promotional" and vowed that his Cavaliers would win a championship before "the self-titled former king."

Apparently, the message was just what the spurned fans of Cleveland wanted to hear.

Commissioner David Stern wasn't as pleased.

He fined Gilbert on Monday, calling the letter and comments Gilbert later made in an interview with The Associated Press that he felt James quit in the playoffs the past two seasons "a little extreme."

On Tuesday, some Cleveland fans offered to pitch in to help Gilbert pay the penalty. Gilbert issued a statement of thanks.

"The humbling offer by so many is another reflection of the strength of Cavs fans and the people who live and work in this region and are always the first to step up and have each other's back," Gilbert said. "I will pay this fine myself, but would be grateful and highly appreciative for any fan who redirects the dollars they kindly offered to contribute towards this fine to the Cavaliers Youth Fund, which will positively impact our region's kids through the numerous local charitable groups the Cavaliers Youth Fund supports."

Zydrunas Ilgauskas headed to Heat w/LeBron

Updated: July 13, 2010, 8:34 PM ET

Agent: Ilgauskas headed to Heat

ESPN.com news services

MIAMI -- Zydrunas Ilgauskas is following LeBron James to the Miami Heat.

"Once LeBron signed there, LeBron started recruiting him," said Herb Rudoy, Ilgauskas' agent, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, which first reported the move.

The veteran center, who started playing for Cleveland in 1997 and has never suited up for another NBA team, expects to sign a two-year contract with the Heat later this week, Rudoy said Tuesday. The two-year deal would come with a player option for the second season, Rudoy said.

"We've agreed to agree," Rudoy said.

Playing with James again was a major factor in Ilgauskas' decision.

"LeBron was very encouraging and explained the whole situation," Ilgauskas told the Sun-Sentinel. "And, obviously, he's my friend, and him being there made it a lot easier to choose."

On his Twitter feed, James quickly welcomed Ilgauskas to Miami.

"Glad u are joining me in South Beach my friend. Also thanks for the encouraging words big fella," James wrote.

The Heat had no immediate comment. They had talks about acquiring Ilgauskas when he was available this past season after being dealt in a three-team trade to Washington. The Wizards subsequently bought out his contract and made him a free agent.

Ilgauskas is the Cavs' career leader in games played, blocked shots and rebounds. The 7-foot-3 Lithuanian was drafted by the club in 1996 and overcame serious foot injuries that nearly ended his career.

Veteran forward Juwan Howard, 37, is also finalizing a minimum-scale deal to join the Heat, according to the Sun-Sentinel.

"Juwan wants to get a ring and he has great respect for Coach [Pat] Riley," agent David Falk told the Sun-Sentinel. "We've talked to the Heat. There's a mutual interest. That's all I feel comfortable saying at this point."

Howard made 27 starts in 73 games with the Portland Trail Blazers this past season, averaging 6.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists while shooting 50.4 percent from the field.

They are just the latest names to join what shapes up as a serious title contender in Miami, joining not only James but Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller, who agreed to a deal late last week that remains unsigned.

Ilgauskas told Cavs owner Dan Gilbert and general manager Chris Grant the news on Tuesday. James played a role in luring Ilgauskas to Miami, and other teams were interested as well.

"His best chance to win a championship would be in Miami," Rudoy said.

Ilgauskas was immensely popular in Cleveland, and expects to keep a home in the city.

"It's hard," Rudoy said. "It's been 14 years. It was very hard for him. I know that. When he called Chris Grant and Dan Gilbert today, it was definitely a hard decision at this stage of his career. But he wants to win a championship. That's how he made this decision."

Playing as a reserve for the first time, Ilgauskas averaged 7.4 points and 5.4 rebounds last season. For his career, Ilgauskas has averaged 13.8 points and 7.7 rebounds, and has played in two All-Star Games.

Serbia to play their 1st Davis Cup semi-final

BBC Sport - Tennis

Serbia reach first Davis Cup semi

Serbia reached their first Davis Cup semi-final as Novak Djokovic beat Marin Cilic to give them victory over fierce rivals Croatia.

His 6-3 6-3 6-2 win made it 3-1 to set up a semi against the Czech Republic.

Argentina will face France in the final four after clinching a 3-2 win over Russia in a tense tie in Moscow.

Russia's Nikolay Davydenko beat Eduardo Schwank 4-6 6-3 6-1 6-4 to make it 2-2, but David Nalbandian won the decider, beating Mikhail Youzhny in three sets.

His 7-6 (7-5) 6-4 6-3 victory ended Russia's 17-tie unbeaten home run in the Davis Cup stretching back to 1996.

Nalbandian, who missed much of last season through injury and has been sidelined since April with a hamstring problem, said: "I'm happy with my playing here but I'm not surprised at all, even though I had no official match practice since April.

"I know the level of my playing and I did my best to prepare for these matches."

Despite his win over Schwank, Davydenko was not satisfied with his performances during the tie.

"Though I won today, I'm disappointed with my play this weekend," said Davydenko.

"I was playing much better and with more confidence in my previous Davis Cup matches. I was even thinking of withdrawing today."

In Split, Serbia later made it 4-1 against Croatia as Janko Tipsarevic took the fifth rubber 6-2 7-6 (7-5) against Antonio Veic.

Djokovic said: "This is probably the sweetest victory in my career because this is not just an individual win, but a victory for my country.

"We won in one of the toughest atmospheres against a team that has a lot of success in this competition."

In Clermont-Ferrand, France wrapped up a 5-0 whitewash win over defending champions Spain, having sealed victory in the tie on Saturday.

Gilles Simon made it 4-0 by beating Nicolas Almagro 7-6 (7-4) 7-6, and Julien Benneteau beat Feliciano Lopez 7-6 (7-3) 6-4 to complete the rout.

The Czech Republic booked their semi-final berth on Saturday by taking an unassailable 3-0 lead in Coquimbo against hosts Chile.

Jorge Aguilar pulled it back to 3-1 on Sunday, taking the first dead rubber with a 6-1 7-6 (8-6) win over Lukas Dlouhy.

But Ivo Minar beat Cristobal Saavedra 7-6 (7-2) 6-2 to give the Czechs a 4-1 winning margin.
