Woo-Hoo!

Woo-Hoo!

Got another one from that "bad odds" card!....not going to let it scare me away!Big Grin Angel

Got a few small ones but just put them in the folder with the rest...have 6 winning cards in there now for "hard times"!

Rubync puts them on top of her fridge but I can't do that...my kitty cat may jump up there and knock them off & if they go behind the fridge I will have a "hissy fit"!

Here's the picture on Jordan's thread...hoping for another $100 the next time I get one!

Bought another one!

Well I did buy another one of the $50 & $100 cards but lost so bought another kind of $10 one & got a win and also got the p3 which was 900 for today...played it 900 but played it boxed...played most all of the others for 50/50 but didn't feel this good about the one that hit so didn't...should always play all of the doubles in a combo for sure.

I post my lists of what's coming at the beginning of the month on my NC thread & sometimes they hit and sometimes they don't...900 was on it this time!

Here are the wins on Jordan's thread.

https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/216513/5317376

I'm just grateful to get a win because I've been on a cold spell a little here lately!...but lucked up yesterday and today!

Sure wish I could win like DKwillis does...she just plain racks up & has been racking for the past 4 months or so!

She has lots & lots of this!

Wish I could get more of these!

Sure wish I could get more of these type of winning qps!...I did get a 50 cent exact win a few months ago...also got a 50/50 once before but it was quite awhile back...don't buy many qp's but maybe I should buy more now!

AND wish I could win some more on this scratch card!...I'm so interested in it because you can only win $50 or $100 if you win...that's why the odds are so bad on it.

I was in the parking lot at the grocery store where I had just bought the p3 qp and called NCEL to get the winning p3 number & when the lady said it was 629 I thought to myself I think that's the qp I just bought & sure enough it was.

...also got lucky with this $10 card...I know a lady who has won $800 so far on them but the odds are so very bad I'm surprised she's won that much and was really surprised that I got this one too. I bet she's bought a lot of them...going to ask her how many she's bought next time I see her.

...the odds are the worst one for any card NC has ever had...1:9.45 for over all odds & 1:25.53 to win a $100 which is the top prize on the card but there are nothing but $50 and $100 winners on it...no other kind of amount to win.

Then another friend of mine just told me that she saw a man in her town buy 13 of these cards at one time and did not win a dime so if you live in NC don't go thinking you will win easy on these because you probably won't....I just got lucky and that lady who has won $800 so far is extremely lucky!

I'll just have to buy another one just to see if I can win again...if I do I'll be happy...doesn't take much of a win to make me happy like some of these people on LP who win thousands & it's old hat to them but surely would not be to me!

Good luck to everybody who plays any kind of game in the Lottery....hope you all win BIG!

Please pray for Scalise & other congressmen who were shot!

Please pray for the congressman Scalise who was shot in Alexandria, VA this morning while practicing baseball with other congressmen...the police got there within 3 minutes or it would have been worse than it was...the man shot 50 plus times...he had a rifle and a pistol & the shooting went on for 10 minutes.

Makes me wonder if he did this alone (I know he was alone) or if someone hired him to do it or whatever...the way the democrats are after the republicans these days or if it was a terrorist....who knows how or why it happened but they did catch the man who is an evil mean mean person!...he will get what is coming to him for sure!

Anyway whatever way it happened please pray for Scalise who got shot & the 2 police officers & others who were shot this morning!

Dreamed about Todd last night!

This is the 2nd time I have dreamed about Todd...the last time I think he helped me get a hit in pick 3 but can't remember the dream too good since it was quite awhile back.

Last night I woke up with back pain so got up and took something for it and way later went back to sleep...guess the pill I took made me dream...anyway I dreamed I went to this strange store where you could sit down in a part of it and order a meal & you could walk around in another part & shop for just about anything you wanted from groceries to a lawn mower.

...also there was a section with nothing but lottery so of course I walked over there and filled out some slips for pick 3 and when I walked up to the counter to have them run who would be standing there behind the counter but Todd & I asked him what in the world was he doing there and he said he owned that business so I said what happened to LP and he said well I still own that too so he ran my pick 3 tickets for me and when I started to pay for them I looked in my purse & had no money so I asked him if I could have my tickets and pay him the next time I came in.

I remembered when I was a little short at a store near me they would let me do that but he said no that he did not let customers have credit with the lottery but if I was hungry he would let me eat something & pay him later on & I said well I'm not hungry & I was very upset about that & wanted my tickets!

I walked around some in the store but not far &  saw he did not cancel my tickets but put them in a drawer and then he left the store so I went over to a lady who worked there and asked her to look in the drawer & let me have those tickets and I would pay her tomorrow so she said ok...well she looked in the drawer but they were not there & I thought how can that be as I just saw him put them in there.

Well the lady and I got so anxious about it we tore everything up trying to find those tickets but we just could not find them so I went home and it was about time for the drawing and the number was 773 & I remembered playing 337 but could not remember if I played 773 or not because Todd kept my play slips too.

I went back to the store later on and Todd was at the cash register again and I said I have money this time so will you give me those tickets from last night and he looked in the drawer and got them and gave them to me & I paid him but I did not play either of those numbers but had played 703 & it did hit so I thought that was weird as I saw on the live drawing that it was 773 but I won with 703 & got $80 for it.

I thanked Todd for saving them for me but asked why the lady who worked for him and myself could not find them in the drawer and he said they were for his eyes only and I thought that was a weird answer...lol...also asked why a man with so much money who ran a profitable website would be working as a cashier in his own store and he said because he liked to...also thought that was a weird answer but I said ok...see you on LP & that's all I remember then woke up...guess maybe I should keep 703 773 & 337 in for NC though I've played 703 off and on for awhile with no luck so far!

I don't much think I will ever see Todd in real life in a store as a cashier!Big Grin Angel

Aren't dreams crazy?

Wow!...I just looked at what other states got last night and look what Virginia got!

Store clerk hates lottery!

It's been a long time since I posted in my blog but I just had to post about a store clerk who evidently hates her job!

Today after the drawing I decided to stop by a store I hardly ever go to and bought some p3 tickets & a couple of cash 5 ones...she had just finished waiting on a man who bought some tickets & he took his and left.

I told the store clerk I thought the display of her lottery cards looked really good as I could see all of them & not have to look behind the counter like at some stores.

Her reply back to me was "well I hate the lottery". So I said why? Then she said well I'm here by myself and about this time of day people stop by for gas, lottery tickets & others buy stuff in the store and it's just me here because my boss won't hire anyone to help me.  She then said the the lottery buyers hold up her line too long & if it were up to her she would get rid of everything in there pertaining to the lottery.

WELL...I never dreamed when I told her that I liked her display of lottery cards that I would get back all that from her.  Anyway I had won a little bit on a couple of cards so gave them to her & told her to take that out of the cost of a cash 5 & some pick 3 tickets.

She did that & then a lady came in who was having a really hard time trying to pump her gas so she interrupted us and she told the clerk she used her card but got no gas then the clerk told her when she pulled the lever down before she got the gas it stopped everything or something to that effect & the lady said well have I been charged for the gas etc. etc.

Meanwhile I'm standing there because I decided that I want one more cash 5 ticket and the line by this time behind me was almost to the back wall (it was a small store) so I let them hash it out about the gas & when they finished I asked the lady real polite would she please let me have one more quick pick of a cash 5 ticket...she looked at me like...will you please leave but I wasn't leaving until I got that ticket because something was telling me on the inside of me to buy it & when I get those feelings I had better go with them.

Anyway she gave me a cash 5 qp & I gave her my dollar & I just had to say it...I looked at the man behind me and said I guess I'd better get out of here because I think I'm beginning to make her nervous and he looked like he didn't know what to do...whether to leave or stay...anyway I went out & got in my car & came home.

But as I was driving home I was thinking of how unhappy that poor store clerk was & all of the stress she was under & also thinking about her telling me she was there alone because her boss wouldn't hire anyone to help her...she never should have said that because others heard her & then they knew she was alone & heaven forbid if one wanted to come back later & rob her he would know she was there alone.

Well I said a little prayer for her to be safe & if she hated that job so bad maybe it would be nice if she could find one less stressful.

I guess that poor lady had reached the point today that she just had to unload her situation to me & that's ok too!

People in general

I have worked with the public since I was 16 years old & have met many many people over my lifetime & have found that 99% of them are genuine which means...

actual, real, or true, not false or fake, sincere and honest...Then there is that 1% whom I have met who are opposite of these traits!...I can spot them in a heartbeat...just comes natural to me so I have come to the conclusion that there are always going to be that 1% so just try to stay clear of them & move on & just pray for them...that's all I or anyone else can do.

I worked in a drug store when I was 16...had just graduated from high school...& have had many jobs with the public since then including department stores, grocery stores & worked for a local newspaper writing happy articles about people in my hometown (loved that job)...then got married & we were in business for ourselves including the weight loss business back when there were few around so counseled clients on weight loss for a few years.

...then after a divorce have done many things like receptionist at 2 different car dealerships & you can learn a lot about people in those places for sure from the salesmen to the customers....also a receptionist job for 2 companies of which at one of them the switchboard operator caught all of the frustration & anger the customers were feeling at the time...sometimes I just had to hold the phone out with my arm stretched out just to let them get it out of their system then I could calm them down...I could see where they were coming from when a $100,000 plus machine was broken down & their production came to a stop they needed a technician right then not an hour or more from then...don't miss those days much!

...once I was a secret shopper to several big department stores & then rated how I was treated in the stores...I remember one who met all of the requirements & I was able to blow my cover & tell them & it just made their day!....that's the kind of store you want to shop in because the sales people there treated everyone with respect & gave them their undivided attention (not talking to co-workers there like some do now & ignoring the customer)...I watched them for quite awhile that day & was blown away at how courteous they were!

I have worked in offices where there were some who would pretend to be your best friend & then turn around & stab you in the back especially if it meant a promotion for them...learned my lesson from those kind early on...I think God puts all kinds of people in your life for a reason & that is to learn a lesson from them...the good & the bad people...I'm positive of that!

I have always been too trusting of people & to a certain extent still am that way so have to put my guard up when I realize it.  I really want to look for the good in others & think there is good in most people but when you see certain things happening on the news these days it makes you know there are some who probably don't have any good in them from what they have done or either they have completely lost their mind!

I have 2 cats which I love dearly. I have found that animals love you unconditionally...people could learn a lot from animals!...they look at me with such trusting eyes & even when I think they know they have done something wrong like get in the top kitchen counter (it's empty) & then can't get out so start pounding the door really loud to get my attention...the cat must be smart because she never tries it when I'm not home...at least I've never come home & caught her in there but did leave one in the closet one day so from now on if I don't see them before I leave I go look in the closets to make sure there's no cat in there...lol

Well this blog is so long it should last me awhile...if anyone reads it I hope it's not too boring...I actually feel better from writing it so guess that counts for something...I love sayings so here are a few more I like below.

Throughout life people will make you mad, disrespect you and treat you bad. Let God deal with the things they do, cause hate in your heart will consume you too.

The Brick

I just read this & wanted to share it...it hit me about what is important in life & what is not!

The Brick

A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door! He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown. The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against a parked car shouting, "What the hell was that all about and who are you? Just what the hell are you doing? That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?" The young boy was apologetic. "Please, mister...please, I'm sorry but didn't know what else to do," He pleaded. "I threw the brick because no one else would stop..." With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car. "It's my brother," he said. "He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up." Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, "Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me." Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, then took out his fancy handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts. A quick look told him everything was going to be okay. Thank you and may God bless you," the grateful child told the stranger. Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home. It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message "Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!"

God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice.
