Intralot Signs Deal With Montana Lottery

Insider BuzzInsider Buzz: Intralot Signs Deal With Montana Lottery

Greek gaming operator Intralot said Wednesday it has signed a seven-year contract with the state lottery of Montana to supply a new online and instant gaming system.

The contract will begin March 31, 2006, and includes the possibility of three one-year extensions.

Intralot said the total deal, including the possible three-year extension, is worth $25 million. The company will install gaming equipment, software and related services.

It said it will install a minimum of 750 of its Coronis terminals at retail locations across the state of Montana. Intralot will also install a satellite network to link retailer terminals to the central gaming system.

Intralot already operates the Nebraska state lottery.  Greek Intralot's CEO, Konstantinos Antonopoulos, said that the signing of this new contract, after the successful operation in Nebraska, will further strengthen Intralot's position in the US market.

Greek Intralot has 33 subsidiaries with over 1,800 employees in 32 countries, and its 2005 full-year revenues are expected to reach $600 million.

I have the feeling they are a switch away from going with world-wide access.  A button on your email application, and you can become a lottery winner. I'm ready. All we need is a few less anti-gambling people in key positions.

Cheers

I only trust myself - and that's a questionable choice
