Montana Lottery celebrates 35th anniversary
The Montana Lottery has generated $302 million to benefit the State of Montana since its inception in 1987, paying out more than $774 million in prizes to winners.

Legislation allows Montana lottery winners to remain anonymous
The Montana Lottery sent out its first news release Friday listing major lottery prizes won this week without including the names of the winners, following a new law allowing prize winners to remain anonymous.
The Legislature passed the bill last month and Gov. Greg Gianforte signed it into law on March 31.

Woman's winning lottery ticket rescued from trash by brother
A Montana woman said a $50,000 winning lottery ticket she intended to throw away was rescued by her brother.
Virginia Busko-Gewald told Montana Lottery officials she was inspired by her brother's lottery-playing hobby to pick up a lottery ticket at the Great Falls Albertsons. Even though her brother plays regularly, she didn't even know what game to play, so she bought the first game the clerk recommended: Powerball.

Montana woman wins lottery twice in one day
Winning the lottery once was exciting for Cheyenne Long of Kalispell, Montana, but winning it twice in one day was unbelievable.
Long won a total of $77,000 playing Power Play Gold Crossword, a Montana Lottery Scratch ticket, according to a press release from the Montana Lottery.
Long bought her first ticket on the morning of July 1, and was happy to find out that she had won $2,000. But then she had a gut feeling to buy more of that ticket.

Montana Lottery draws annual Montana Millionaire raffle winning numbers
The Montana Millionaire winning numbers were drawn on Friday, and the grand-prize-winning ticket worth $1 million was sold in Butte.
The million-dollar ticket number is 024279.
There were also three tickets worth $100,000 each; one was sold in Butte, and two were sold in Great Falls. The winning numbers are 023452, 083597, and 147877.
There were five $10,000 tickets sold; two were sold in Billings, and one each was sold in Glasgow, Laurel, and Hamilton.

Retired snow plow driver wins Montana Millionaire raffle
Jack Barisich, an 86-year-old retired snow plow driver with the Montana Department of Transportation living in Winnett, Montana, has claimed the grand prize in the Montana Millionaire lottery drawing.
A press release from the Montana Lottery says that Barisich got the winning ticket as a gift from Stacie Schissler of Great Falls, a relative of his son's.
