Mother-daughter team split $2M lottery prize

A mother and daughter from Thompson Ridge, New York, have won $2 million in the $10 New York State Lottery instant game $250 Million Prize Payout Bonanza.

They were announced Saturday night at Mighty M Gaming and Raceway in Monticello.

Marion Petito, 64, a mother of three, is splitting the prize with her daughter, Christine Petito-Thorn, 40, a mother of two.

Mrs. Petito is a hostess at Villa Gaudio Restaurant in Circleville. Mrs. Petit-Thorn works as a senior security hospital treatment assistant at Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Center in New Hampton. The pair had no immediate plans for their winnings. They will receive $50,000 annually for 20 years, minus taxes.

The ticket was purchased at the Best Gas and Diesel on the corner of Routes 302 and 17 in Circleville.

The $250 Million Prize Payout Bonanza is an instant game that offers players 15 chances to win up to $2 million.
