There were seven second-prize winners: 1 from Illinois, 2 from New Jersey, 3 from New York, and 1 from Virginia. Each ticket matched all five lotto numbers but not the Mega Ball number to win $250,000.
Also, 46 players matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
The winning numbers were 4, 16, 17, 28 and 31. The Mega Ball number was 8.
The Texas Megaplier was 4.

HAPPY WEDNESDAY....."JUST'
I couldn't agree w/you more........the higher the 'high' the greater the ecstasy......
oh, and yes 'congrats to all that came out at least $100,000 richer than they were prior'
Is it just me or is the cash amount for the MegaMillions jackpot at $82million almost the exact equivalent of the Powerball jackpot at $101million? What's up is someone at Powerball taking some money off the top??

No, that just demonstrates the difference in the annuity calculations between MM and PB.
To see the difference in action, go to www.usamega.com and click on Jackpot Analysis for both Mega Millions and Powerball. USA Mega is unique in that not only does it have the tax rates for all the states, but you can also see a full breakdown of increasing yearly annuity payments for Powerball. I don't think any other web site has that feature.
Thanks Todd I'll check that out.
